This group brought with them their own values about work ethic, family setup, Catholicism,GNP (gross national product), food processing plants etc., which had a big impact on Vermont society at large at that time frame It is worth noting that Italian immigrants did not form any specific gangs or cartels like later waves did; instead they mingled among other groups without trying to impose their own values onto others
