Adrian, Michigan is a city in Stanislaus County, California. The population was 97 at the 2010 census. Adrian is located on the San Joaquin River and is part of the Modesto metropolitan area. It was first settled by indigenous people in 1776. Adrian was incorporated as a town in 1872 and became a city in 1959. The city has a history of gun barrel production dating back to 1847 when pioneer Captain John Sutter founded Sutter's Fort near present-day Adrian. Adrian's early firearms were made from buffalo horn and other local materials. In 1860, the city passed an ordinance making it illegal to sell or use pistols without a license from the mayor or sheriff. While no evidence exists to support this claim, it is reported that Mayor Charles Addams refused to allow guns within his boundaries because he felt they would be used by criminals instead of law enforcement officers. In 1865, Adrians first handgun factory was established by Hodge & Co., which manufactured handguns using American black powder ammunition with bullet designs developed at nearby Redding Arsenal

The population was 3,645 at the 2010 census, making it the third-largest city in Wayne County after Detroit and Flint. It is also one of four cities that make up Metro Detroit statistical area, which has a population of 11 million as of 2016. Adrian is home to a large number of aerospace manufacturing companies including Dassault Aviation, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Airbus Group SE. The city was founded by John Fenton in 1824 as Dearborn Heights on land he bought from Indian chiefs for $1 per acre (0.50 rupees). Dearborn Township was organized in 1837; Adrian Township was formed in 1886. The original name for Adrian may have been "Atchison", but this is now considered an error because Atchison did not become a city until 1880. The first post office opened at Adrian on October 12, 1826; it closed on July 1, 1893 due to mail fraud by Alfred Aiken alias "Aiken". The first mayor was George Moseley (1840-1915). In 1892 Alfred Aiken became owner of the present day capitol building and named it after himself - Adrian Capitol Building (later renamed State Capitol Building). He served two terms as mayor before his death on August 14th 1915 due to injuries sustained while leading troops during World War I offensives near Belle Isle Island off the coast of Michigan City Indiana

Adrian, Michigan is a small town located in the western Grand Rapids area of Michigan. The population was 7,898 at the 2010 census. Adrian is home to the now defunct Adrian High School and the old Adrian College which closed in 2009. The first residents of Adrian were white farmers who immigrated from Sweden in 1824. In 1835, a group of three Methodist ministers from Indiana came to Adrian and founded what would become St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. They also began building a schoolhouse on Niles Road (now Main Street). The first students enrolled at St. John's were Kindergarten through eighth grade students from surrounding villages who paid for their education with farm produce or wages they earned as workers on their farms. In 1840, when the Michigan legislature passed a bill giving all citizens within its borders an equal right to vote, St. John's received a letter from Secretary of State James Kugler asking if it could send delegates to participate in state elections that year because it had "a large congregation." AfterSeveral years of consideration, St. John’s agreed and sent seven members to the state senate; however due to financial constraints they only received three votes instead of five needed for election success! On November 3rd 1840, thanks largely to donations by local business owners (made possible by prohibition laws at that time) and religious leaders including Reverend Samuel Morse our country’s first telegraph operator (who contributed $200), Star Tavern became Adrian’s first post office with an initial mailing rate of one dollar per delivery! In 1847–48, two Baptist missionaries came to town and started teaching Sunday school classes for children up until age 10th grade—the first such program in Michigan! Eventually other denominations arrived but Sunday school continued as an important part of community life into the 21st century until it merged with nearby Start Elementary School around 2020-2021 . In 1865 Alfred Kelley built his mill on Saginaw River near present day Marinette Heights Boulevard; this event helped establish Adrian as one ofGRAND RAPIDS' most vibrant industrial communities during that time period! Kelley operated his mill until 1907 when he sold it along with his land holdings to Jelle Wiegandt who renamed it "Wiegandt Corporation". Adrian, Michigan was founded in 1836 by Adrian Brothers. The town was named after Adrian, a Catholic missionary who had served in the area during the 1830s. In 1839, the brothers erected the first school in Adrian. The town growth continued through the 1840s and 1850s as residents built homes and businesses. In 1866, Adrian became part of Huron County and remained that way until its annexation into Detroit in 1898.
