Pistol Magazines come in both standard widths (such as 9mm Luger), which are ideal for most carry heights, as well as wide widths (>10mm) which make them perfect for bigger hands/gripes!

The Marquette County Sheriff's Department began carrying .38 caliber revolvers in the early 1920s. In 1927, they purchased a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver. The first firearms instructor for the sheriff's department was Capt. John Hickey. In 1933, the sheriff's department purchased an additional six handguns from S&W. They also began using a new radio-controlled weapon called "The Gunfighter" which allowed deputies to fire at targets up to 50 yards away with no shot being wasted. In 1940, the CTO approved installation of Enfield rifles on the sheriff's department's staff and in 1941, they became America's first handgun-armed force when they acquired an Enfield rifle from Britain. In 1954, the sheriff's department purchased another Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver and began using it as their primary firearm. They also started utilizing a new radio-controlled weapon called "The StingRay". This weapon allowed deputies to shoot projectiles up to 100 yards away with no wasted shots.
Marquette is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Shiawassee County. The population was 21,557 at the 2010 census, making it the second-largest city in Shiawassee County after Battle Creek. It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. The name "Marquette" derives from 18th-century French explorer and fur trader Pierre Marquette's crossing of Lake Superior on his way to find new land in what is now Wisconsin. In 1833, the United States Congress created Shiawassee County from parts of Wayne and Oakland Counties; as a result, Marquette became its county seat. The city is home to two universities: Michigan State University (MSU) and Wayne State University (WSU). MSU's main campus straddles Woodward Avenue between Fourteenth Street and Eighteenth Street east of downtown; WSU's main campus straddles Ionia Parkway between Ninth Street and Tenth Street west of downtown. Both universities are major employers in town with over 11,000 employees combined across both campuses' campuses alone. In addition to its universities, Marquette also has several cultural attractions including The Palace Theatre Company which stages plays year-round throughout the arts district near downtown and Trident Brewing which manufactures artisanal beers made with local ingredients within walking distance of most residents' homes along First Avenue north of downtown. Additionally, there are several golf courses located within easy reach including Ironwood Golf Course just southeast of town on US 131 / M-10 about an hour's drive from Lansing or one hour from Detroit; Haggerty Hills Golf Course northwest of town on M-10 about an hour's drive from Lansing or one hour from Detroit; Eastman Proving Grounds off Ionia Parkway just southwest of town on M-24 about an hour's drive from Lansing or one hour from Detroit; as well as several tennis courts located all around town that can accommodate large crowds for tournaments during summertime such as the annual "University Open". As a result, Marquette has become known for its many cultural attractions - including some that are not found in other larger cities - as well as its convenient location for commuters commuting into northern Michigan through Muskegon Heights International Airport or nearby Pontiac Airport

It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area and is bordered by Dearborn to the south, Flint to the east, Ann Arbor to the north, and Lansing to the west. The city's nickname "The University City" derives from its location as one of four campuses for Western Michigan University (WMU). In 1837, General Anthony Wayne founded what would become Wayne County on land where Marquette now stands. In 1839, he donated what became known as Township No. 2 (now downtown) to John Cranch for settlement by American Indians who had been removed from their homes in Upper Canada under British rule two years earlier. In 1846, while still a territory of Wayne County, Marquette established itself as an independent town with a government that included a mayor and 10 selectmen elected by residents at large. On July 1st of that year, it became a village with a government consisting only of an assessor and six trustees appointed by Mayor John Fenton for three-year terms renewable annually without recall or vote except by majority vote. In 1870–71 when Macomb County was created from parts of Wayne and Washtenaw counties combined due to population growth in those areas after railroad construction began there was much discussion about whether or not Marquette should become part of that new county; but because it already had an assessment office (and because there were no other major towns within commuting distance), it chose not to do so and continued billing itself as an independent town until 1850 when all land within its limits was annexed into Macomb County following establishment of that county's first courthouse building on West Main Street adjacent thereto. During World War II many industries moved out or were relocated within Detroit due to wartime scarcity Of materials such as steel which made up 50%+of all production in America outside agriculture; however some heavy industry did continue such as aluminum smelting operations at Saginaw River Valley near Joe Louis Arena which continues today with Alcoa's current plant . One result was increased poverty rates among working class families who lost their jobs during this time period although overall life expectancy soared thanks also to advances in antibiotics & other medical treatments then available
The Marquette Indians were a Native American tribe that resided in present-day Marquette, Michigan. The tribe was first mentioned in 1812 when French traders traveled through the area and noted "a people of great strength and bravery" who lived near the Fox River. The natives traded with the Europeans for goods and services, but they also raided European settlements and killed women and children as punishment. In 1816, the United States government bought out the French holdings in Michigan, making it part of its territory. In 1817, Indian Agent John Ledyard negotiated a treaty between the Indians and U.S. officials which ended their raids on European settlements. By 1830, all of the Native Americans living in Michigan had been removed to reservations within Oklahoma or Canada.
