In Roseville, Michigan, there have been firearms magazines for over a hundred years. The first gun magazine in the city was opened in 1855 by Wm. Fenton and Sons. It was located on Second Street and consisted of six-shooters, shotguns, pistols and rifles. In 1872, J.P. Morgan founded the "Detroit News" in Roseville and purchased the first issue of the "Roseville Journal". At that time, it was the only gun magazine in Roseville. In 1903, Fred Couse started printing "The Rifleman" which became one of the most popular gun magazines in America. From 1904 to 1912, Bud Smith edited "The Rifleman." In 1916, Harry Elmerdorf bought "The Pistolist" from Couse and turned it into one of the most successful pistol magazines in America. In 1919 when World War I began, many newspapers closed their offices and many people lost their jobs because of it. However, Mr. John Haggerty who owned The Pistolist decided to continue publishing until after the war ended so his readers could still get new guns and ammunition before they had to go back to work again! He also continued reprinting old issues so his readers could keep up with current events as well as find out what new NRA members were doing! After World War I ended, Mr. Haggerty sold his magazine to Jens Petersen who ran it until its sale to Bob Kapp in 1969-70 which is when editorial control passed from Mr.) That left The Rifleman as editorially independent until Bob Kapp took over as publisher in 1970-71 when he changed its name back to The Rifleman Magazine Company Incorporated (TRMCO). TRMCO published its last issue October 1971

Roseville, Michigan was founded in 1827. It became a town in 1881 and an incorporated city in 1903. The Roseville Rifle and Pistol Club was formed on December 6, 1892. It is the oldest rifle club in Michigan and the second oldest pistol club in the United States.
Roseville is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan, and the county seat of Wayne County. The population was 34,592 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. The first settlement in what is now Roseville was made by Nicholas Wright in 1799 on land bought from the Ottawa tribe. In 1824, John Tipton designated it as one of three townships to be established within Wayne County, withlying townships being Osceola and Stroudsburg. In 1835, when Ford became its first mayor, Roseville had 2 people living in it; by 1853 there were 5 residents and it had 8 businesses. In 1861, when Wayne County was organized into divisions for racial purposes (based on British occupation), Roseville became part of Oakland Township which included Toledo and many other black populated areas south of Detroit including Highland Park, Midland Park and Black Forest. During World War II much of Roseville was destroyed by bombing raids from Japan as part of the B-29 Superfortress campaign against Tokyo suburbs such as Yokohama and Gunma Prefecture; most buildings were rebuilt following 1945 after Jackson Square Civic Center opened as an exhibition center for post-war reconstruction efforts). In 1957 Drs. Julius Nystrom and Vernon Smith developed a new form of radiation therapy that used photographic plates to measure doses delivered over time instead of just measuring cumulative doses over a period of minutes like previous treatments; this led to its development into medical imaging technology today known as computed tomography (CT). Roseville History: On July 6th 1840Nicholas Wright set out from Flint Michigan with 3 others for what would become his colony called 'New Albion'. Four years later they had 509 acres cleared and built their first log cabin named 'Branch' which still stands today next to United Methodist Church off North Main Street east side (current site where State Fairgrounds are located). By 1850 they had two stores open & 10 families living here although little has changed since then except for increased population density due to lumber industry growth & related suburbanization/ suburban sprawl acrossSweet Home Hills west side & Branch's Store on East Main Street between Woodward & Gratiot Streets today... In 1851 New Albion School was started along with fulltime education for white children only while Black children went to Oakland Elementary School which continued until around 1870... The post office opened in Indian Wells on May 1st 1852 followed by New Albion Hotel on October 25th 1850 becoming one stop shopping destination for locals & visitors alike! This early growth can be credited mainly to Nicholas Wright who singlehandedly developed our community through business acumen (& some good olfashion rustication) combined with his own sustainable land management skills! Between 1840-1860 more than 1300 settlers moved into our township - almost all men! joblessness during those difficult era caused manyamine intoxication among these pioneer farmers so high levels discovered uranium ore near present day Branch's Store property likely exposing them instantaneously or very soon thereafter leading directly to their expulsion from our town effective September 1865!!! All told more than 1800 pioneers made their mark here within just 10 short years!! Today we continue this rich history& tradition thanks largely tohardworking individuals such as Tom Kelleher who continuesto contribute financially via his father’s shoe dealership currently anchored at 7 E Main Street!"

It also reduced the potential danger of jams and misfire when using percussion-cap pistols such as revolvers. In 1892, a company called Brown & Williamson developed a striker-fired handgun magazine that used an extractor on the top of the magazine to extracting rounds from the gun while it was still in use. This innovation made it possible for handguns to be fired multiple times without having to remove and reload the magazine.

Despite some challenges, such as high levels of pollution and loss of jobs due to competition from larger cities, Roseville has continued to grow over time, becoming one of Michigan’s most prominent postwar communities. Today, it remains an vibrant community with a strong cultural heritage and rich history that contributes significantly to its present day identity.
Roseville was founded in 1836 by John and Anna Rose. The townspeople were pioneers who built the first steamboat on the Kalamazoo River. In 1860, Roseville became a city.
