In Savage, Minnesota, the history of firearms t-shirts is a long and winding one. The city was founded in 1851 by bounty hunter George Armstrong Custer as the trading post for his Nebraska ranch. And it would be here that Savage's first gun club was formed in 1871. There were also early efforts to manufacture firearms here, including a muzzleloader company and a blacksmith shop. In 1902, Savage incorporated as a city and began to grow rapidly with the arrival of railroad workers and their families. Gun enthusiasts from all over started coming to town to buy and sell Firearms Charters (FCCs) – certificates that allowed individuals to possess Firearms in any state or territory without having to register with local police departments. However, things would change dramatically when World War I erupted and demand for munitions soared due to the war effort. As ammunition prices skyrocketed, Gunowners Protective Association (GOA) members became fervent advocates for stricter regulation of firearm ownership. They lobbied tirelessly against new laws being passed that would have made it more difficult for citizens to purchase firearms, such as the National Firearms Act of 1934. The GOA successfully fought off an attempt by President Franklin D Roosevelt to make it much easier for people like himself who could easily obtain arms through the NRA’s network of dealerships across America. It wasn't until after World War II that things calmed down somewhat in Savage – but not before there were several high-profile shootings here including that of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on November 4th, 2005;[1] Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling on July 6th, 1998;[2] Mayor Norm Coleman on December 1st,[3] and Representative Gabrielle Giffords on January 8th 2011.[4][5] Today, Savage is known for its vibrant community spirit which manifests itself through its wide variety of cultural events both big and small alike. Savage has experienced significant economic growth over the years; however, some residents have raised concerns about gentrification and how it might impact cultural values within the town itself. The current mayor is Shawnee Ziegler who took office on November 3rd, 2018

Savage, Minnesota (population: 9,914) is a small town located in the state of Minnesota. The community was founded in 1881 by John Savage and his wife Anna. The Savage family operated a general store and bakery from their home until 1915. In 1928, the town became an incorporated village. The population of Savage reached its peak during World War II when it reached over 10,000 residents. However, the town's population began to decline following the war and has remained below that number ever since. The history of Savage begins with John Savage and Anna who were both born in 1848 in what is now Turkey Lake, Wisconsin. After completing high school in 1871 they moved to Minnesota where they opened a general store at what is now North East High School on Main Street in present-day Savage. They continued to operate the business until 1915 when they sold it to Thomas Ewing who also ran a grocery store next door. At this time, there were only two schools within five miles of Savage so Ewing built two more stores on Main Street which he named Pioneer Place and Frontier Place respectively. In 1928, native son Earl Weeden became mayor after being elected as a Democrat from Unalaska County which included present-day eastern Burns County (the area around present day Duluth). Weeden served three terms before retiring from office in 1933 due to ill health; he was followed by his widow Ann Marie who served for four years before she too retired soon after due to poor health; her husband had also been passed away earlier that year. Earl Weeden's wife Ann Marie became interested in running for office but could not overcome her lack of political experience which limited her ability to win election; she instead left politics behind and started working at the local post office where she remained for many years afterwards before passing away in 1984 at the age of 96 years old; this set an example for many women throughoutMinnesota who desired career advancement but lacked experience or resources necessary for such an endeavor After Ann Marie's departure from politics there was much speculation as to who would succeed her as mayor; however no one won an election against incumbent Earl Weeden despite having over 50% support among citizens . This instability led to decreased development opportunities for those within Savage due largely to budget cuts mandated by state government officials . With few viable options available other than staying inactive or leaving the community entirely, some residents decided early on in its history that secession would be necessary should their municipal government continue struggling financially It wasn't until 1978 when voters approved annexation into neighboring Burns County through referendum making savage their new county seat The name change went ahead without any local protest as most people within village felt like they had always been known as "Savage" anyway Nevertheless , recent changes have seen a decreasein poverty rates and more growth potential thanks largely to supportive decision-makers within village governance including recent appointees with responsibility for economic development
