These monasteries are still functioning today as educational institutions teaching Christianity to people from many different cultures around the world! Pope Gregory I called on St. Michael to intercede with God on behalf of his people during their great schism that followed Christ's death on Easter Day in 680 AD. After months of healing works both inside and outside Jerusalem, St-Michele finally arrived at Jerusalem on April 11th with an army made up mostlyof angels led by Gabriel himself! When he was just eighteen years old, Michael crossed the Danube River and journeyed through Austria and Germany to Rome to attend Mass with his father. After two years of theological study at the University of Trier near Frankfurt am Main, Michael returned home to Hungary and began preaching the gospel at local churches. He later founded a religious order called The Brothers of Mary Immaculate (BMs) which ministered primarily to poor Catholics living outside Budapest between 1907 and 1920. While living in America from 1921-1924, he visited Minneapolis several times before returning permanently toHungary in 1924. After ordaining as a priest in 1929, he worked among Catholic parishes in Milwaukee before coming to Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania for three years as pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish until his death on November 9th 1954 at the age of seventy-four. In 1963 Pope John XXIII designated him an archangel after naming him patron saint of priests throughout Europe and parts of South America who professed evangelical Christianity; Michael's feast day is October 28th. He remains highly revered by Catholics throughout North America and Europe today because of his prophetic work during World War II with Vatican City's newly created military arm - Armata SSN valorosa - providing humanitarian aid for Jews persecuted by Nazi Germany.
