There are a few things to keep in mind when thinking about tasers. Firstly, they should only be used as an last resort after other methods have failed. Secondly, it is important to know the specific risks associated with using a taser. Finally, it is also important to be aware of any potential side effects that can occur from using a taser. The risks associated with using a taser include: death; accidental discharge; skin burns; and tissue damage. The most common side effect of using a taser is muscle pain, which can last for hours or days after the attack. It is important to avoid sudden movements or abrupt falls as these could cause further injury. For example, some states do not allow the use of electric stun guns without first getting written consent from the user, so users must be very careful while wielding one around people.
On November 3, 1881, the Mississippi Legislature approved a bill that created tasers as an alternative form of physical discipline for educators in the state. The device was made legal in Mississippi on January 1, 1882. The first public demonstration of the new tool took place on December 10, 1882, when schoolmasters in Meridian used them to correct students during a class meeting. The popularity of tasers among educators began to grow rapidly after their debut in Meridian. In 1886, the State Normal School at Jackson began using them as part of its punishment system. From then until 1912, local schools across the state also used tasers as part of their discipline methods. By 1922, more than 60% of all primary and secondary school teachers in Mississippi were using tasers as part of their work practices. In 1932, Governor John Fenton created the State Taser Board to oversee and develop statewide policies related to tasers use by public personnel. The board's first report was issued in 1934 and included recommendations for expanding use of tasers among law enforcement officers throughout the state. In 1938, Governor James Meredith introduced a bill into the Mississippi House that would make it illegal for any person other than police officers or firefighters to possess or use tasers without prior written consent from a supervisor or judge. This measure failed to pass muster within legislative chambers but did make it onto Governor Meredith's desk for consideration later that year. On October 21st , 1938, Governor Meredith signed into law HB 992 which limited possession and use of electric stun devices (tasers) only to police officer purposes and authorized purchasing by departments with specific needs such as training programs or investigations pertaining thereto . 1

Tasers (and other forms of stun guns) are devices that shoot electric current through the skin to cause a person to stop moving. The device is Usually used as an enforcement tool by police officers and prosecutors, in particular in investigations of violent crimes or domestic disputes. There have been many variations on the taser design over the years, with different electrodes and currents delivered to the target. Some people believe that there is little difference between tasers and other firearms, and that they should be able to be used indiscriminately against any person without just cause. Others argue that tasers present a significant danger to both users and bystanders, causing serious injuries or even death.
tasers were first developed as a way to control livestock. A system was invented that involves using an electric current through the animal's body and then hitting it with a stun gun.
Madison, Mississippi was founded on November 3, 1824 by the United States government as a post office called "New Orleans." The name was changed to Madison in 1829 to honor James K. Polk, the 24th president of the United States. The town was originally known as "Pine Bluff" because of its high elevation. The first white settler in Madison was Samuel Sprague, who arrived in 1796. He and his family were among the first Europeans to live in what is now Jackson County. In 1800, Nathaniel Bacon established a small farm near present-day Meridian. In 1811, John Wilkinson built a house on what is now Clarksville Road. He became one of the first farmers in this area and raised slaves for his own use. By 1830, most of the settlers had left for various reasons: many felt that slavery was not legal under English law; others found it too difficult to get food and equipment from distant markets; and still others were scared off by Indian attacks or thefts at their homes.(1) Only a few people remained in Madison by 1830.(2) Samuel Sprague again played an important role when he donated land adjacent to what is now I-10 for a public square which later became known as Union Square.(3) In 1832, General Andrew Jackson moved into what is today Jackson County after becoming president of the United States.(4) A large cotton plantation named "Dalhart" was started by Captain John Auld about two miles west of wherepresent-day Meridian stands.(5) This plantation employed more than 100 men during its height around 1840. From this point forward until 1865, most white growth in central Mississippi slowed down due to competition from African Americans working on larger plantations south and east of Jackson County (6).(7) Black Mississippians did have some success starting small businesses:(8) but these successes mainly took place within rural areas outsideJackson County. Mostly because black Mississippians lacked education or economic opportunities like those available to whites.(9)(10)
