The modern handgun is a marvel of technology and engineering. However, it has its share of mysteries and history that still remain largely hidden from the average person. One such mystery is the history of gun cleaning. The first handguns were designed in the late 18th century to be as reliable as possible. The manufacturers needed to ensure that their firearms could be used safely and with minimal damage. To this end, they developed various techniques for cleaning their firearms. Some methods involved soaking the firearm in hot water orta-baths, using a plunger to suction onto cleaning rods, or use an alcohol pad on a cloth. However, these methods were not always effective and often caused further damage to the firearm. In order to solve this problem, some manufacturers began developing special cleaners specifically designed for handguns. These cleaners were usually made of chemicals that entered into the metalwork below the barrel and cleaned it off; this left the firearm free from any dirt, oil, or other debris that might have caused problems before. As time passed, more and more people started using handguns for personal protection purposes. This led to another problem: many people did not know how to clean their firearms properly! As a result, much damage was done both before and after use- particularly during high-crime rates when criminals are known to target specific guns rather than general targets like cars or homes (which would easily be cleaned). In response to this problem, some companies began producing books specifically dedicated to gun cleaning – these books typically covered all aspects of pistol care including ensuring accuracy during firing (by calibrating each weapon’s sights), maintaining your firearms’ function (including replacing parts if needed), preventing accidents due to grease buildup on barrels or chamber lips/gaps (a common cause of misfires), fixing Upon Discharge Any Fireworks Out Of A Pistol Or Rifle... by Edward Sibley published in 1865 covers many topics related NRA members must remember while CLEANING THEIR GUNS
Gun cleaning history typically starts with the basic steps of removing all residue, cleaning the bore and chambers, and lubeing. In some cases, a gun may also need to be dyno-cleaned to remove any unauthorized ammunition.

The first store in Sikeston was built on the south side of the present-day village square. In 1847, the town was platted and became a part of the Hannibal post office district. The nucleus of Sikeston were early settlers who arrived from Illinois in 1836 and soon erected log cabins on what is now the north side of Village Square. These pioneers constructed their homes from logs that they scavenged from local creeks and rivers. In 1847, when Hannibal post office was established, residents of Sikeston moved to this new post office which had been created due to increased traffic along I-435 between St Louis and Hannibal (then known as "the Great Plains"). This move helped spur development within the community as businesses sprang up to provide needed goods and services for those living near I-435. Today, Sikeston remains an agricultural center with a focus on corn, soybeans, cotton, wheat and other crops; it also has a number of small businesses including two banks and several clinics/health care facilities.
