In 1967 alone NRA ordered 4 million cartons of Winchester brass cases! This order placed unbelievable strains on existing facilities throughout southern Nevada while also requiring purchases outside Reno because muchof what was needed eastward was unavailable due to political/economic instability engulfingDRN at that time! As a result many companies closed their doors or merged with other producers making it difficult if not impossible for newcomers like Sun Valley Armory – founded just four years prior by Nordly Olson –to penetrate this highly competitive industry! It wasn’t until 1978 when First National Armory finally received permission from then-President Gerald Ford permitting them open carrying their firearms inside federal buildings which expedited access hitherto unavailable!!!
