Gun cleaning in Secaucus, New Jersey has a long and rich history. The city was home to one of the first gun shows in the United States, and it is also where firearms were used in several notorious cases. First made popular by cowboy movies, Gun shows have become an annual event inSecaucus over the years. They provide a chance for people from all walks of life to come together and trade Firearms knowledge, jokes, and opinions on all things related to Guns. This year’s show was especially interesting as it coincided with National Rifle Association (NRA) shooting weekend which took place at the nearby Hunterdon County Fairgrounds. The NRA holds their Show every year at this time and there are usually quite a few firearms displays as well as talks on various aspects of NRA history. This year I managed to attend one such talk entitled “From Pre-War America To Today: The NRA’s History In Pictures” It was very informative and gave me some great insight into what has been going on since the early days of Guns in America.

On December 15, 1987, the Borough of Secaucus merged with the Township of Rahway to form Rahway Township-Secaucus Borough. On July 1, 2018, parts of Rahway Township-Secaucus Borough were annexed into East Orange Township for a total population increase to around 47% over what would have been had those areas not been annexed given that there were no plans or proposals for annexation at that time. This growth has caused some concerns about how future annexations will affect residents in those areas since they are not actually within the borders of either township anymore but rather within East Orange Township
