Apex's long and varied Ammunition history can be traced back to the early 1800s. In that time, the area was a land grant known as "The Creek Nation" and was home to many Indian tribes. The area was first settled by Europeans in the late 17th century, and early ammunition production began in that period. In 1815, General James Wilkinson founded Kinston Arsenal on what is now called Trade Street in Apex. This Arsenal produced munitions for the American Civil War, and also manufactured artillery rounds used by Confederate forces. In 1832, Kinston Arsenal became part of the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, Kinston Arsenal reverted to private ownership and continued producing munitions until it closed in 1865. As ammunition production increased throughout North Carolina during the 19th century, new facilities were needed to handle this traffic. In 1875, Apex Municipal Court bought land at present-day Old Fort Mill Road and placed a cornerstone there for a new Ammunition Plant which would eventually become Bristol Armory. The plant commenced operations in 1886 and produced shells for both military and civilian use until it closed in 1959. During its heyday, Bristol Armory supplied ammo to all 50 U.S. states plus Canada and parts of Latin America . Pistol round projectiles don’t have as much destructive power as rifleround projectiles so they must be made specifically for shooting pellets out of cannons instead of bullets which gives shotguns more versatility when it comes to firingpellets at targets

Apex is a town in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cabarrus County. Apex was founded in 1851 by pioneers who came from Scotland and Ireland. The town became an important center for cotton production and commerce during the early years of its development. In 1907, Apex incorporated as a city and has since grown to become one of the largest cities in North Carolina.

Apex is a small town in North Carolina, located just north of the state capital, Raleigh. The population was 1,851 at the 2010 census. Its name comes from the Apex Hill Road which runs through it. In 1699, General John Graham's army passed through Apex on their way to take back Fort royal from the French. When they reached the town there were only about 30 people living in 130 houses. By 1800, Apex had grown to more than 100 residents and 10 stores. The first school in Apex was built in 1802 and was used as a trading post for local farmers and traders. In 1820, a Presbyterian church was built and served as the community's main religious center until it burned down in 1886. By 1830, there were three schools within 12 miles of Apex- one for white children and two for colored children- making it one of the most diverse small towns in America at that time. After Reconstruction ended following the Civil War, many African Americans moved into Apex because racism continued to be an issue throughout much of North Carolina after slavery had ended. However, by 1920s black merchants had started opening up businesses all over North Carolina so some progress had been made although some neighborhoods still exhibited very negative attitudes towards African Americans even today
As the largest city in the state of North Carolina, Apex had a long and rich history. It was founded by European colonists in 1719 as a small village named Bladenborough. The town rapidly grew, becoming one of the most important cities in the region. In 1868, it became the capital of North Carolina and remained so until 1971 when Raleigh became the state's new capital.
