From here firearms gradually became More inaccurate reducing effectiveness over time until finally they were completely replaced By Machineguns............ muzzleloading allowed For very accurate fire even when targets were quite close ranged

It is part of the Dayton–Summit Township, Delaware County, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded on July 3, 1800 by English-born settler James Bexley and his wife Rebecca Peake. The first post office in Bexley was established on December 5, 1800. The town took its name from George Washington's birthplace of Bexhill in Devon England. In 1827–28, Bexley suffered from a devastating tornado that struck the area. A total of ten homes were destroyed and one person died as a result of the tornado. Bexley's rich soil has been used for farming since early days and some of today’s industries date back to this time including leather tanning and printing presses located along Third Street south of Main Street which still produce prints today!
Bexley was founded in 1825 by surveyors John and Eliza Bexley. The city was named for the two surveyors, as they had both died in 1824. The first house in town was built on the corner of High and Market Streets. In 1830, Bexley voted to incorporate as a village, and the first mayor was elected in 1835. The city experienced some prosperity during the early years of its existence, but it declined after 1840 when rapacity by local businessmen led to a decline in population and business. In 1865, Bexley became part of the new state of Ohio and experienced another period of decline until it regained its status as a Village in 1903.
