It developed into one of America's most important financial centres during the 19th century thanks to its riverfront location near two large ports: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Cuyahoga Falls Boulevard/Cleveland Municipal Airport (now CLEVELAND HOPKINS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT). Brooklyn experienced significant gentrification starting in the early 21st century as businesses bought out or relocated away from working-class neighborhoods such as Brownsville and East Harlem; however some aspects of its past remain popular with locals including traditional neighborhood cafes such as Dutch Bros., Joe’s Pizza Place & Pasta Shop etc., basketball teams from nearby public schools like Maple Leaf High School (now Midtown High School), Stroudsburg High School & Community College District (now Western Reserve University),[4][5] Hasidic yeshivas,[6][7][8] Polish churches,[9][10] African American churches,[11][12][13] Irish immigrants,[14][15] people who identify themselves primarily as Jewish[16], people who identify primarily as Italian or other European descent,[17],[18],[19],[20],[21],[22], Somali refugees,[23],[24]; Orthodox Jews[25]; Muslims; residents Ukrainian émigrés who fled Soviet communism; families with German ancestry; [26].
