The Rocket Gun had several advantages over earlier firearms: It could fire multiple rounds per minute (10 rounds per second), it could be reloaded quickly without having to remove the magazine each time, it could fire projectiles up to 50 feet (15 meters) long, and it could target objects up to 10 feet (3 meters) away from its muzzle! The first effective use of Bullets as armament occurred during World War I when artillery units employed them against enemy trenchesides. Bullet damage caused byrapnel was very severe; however, this type of damage did not compare with tank shell damage which caused serious losses on both sides despite being much less efficient at penetrating armour. By 1918 Ammunition manufacturers had started marketing new types of Ammunition known as Tungsten Carbine Ammunition which possessed great penetrating power but lackedFragmentation ability
