When the Reynoldsburg Manufacturing Company first opened its doors in 1892, it was an innovative and cutting edge company. It was one of the few companies in Ohio that manufactured firearms without a barrel grip or stock. The company’s products were known for their softness and durability. During the early 1900s, the company began to expand its product line. They added shotguns, rifles, and handguns. In 1912, they merged with two other companies to form the Reynoldsburg Armory Company. This merger allowed them to produce firearms under one roof and also increased their production capabilities. The company continued to grow during this time and by 1928 they had reached their current size of over 100 employees. The late 1920s through the 1930s were difficult times for the Reynoldsburg Armory Company as World War II began to take hold. However, thanks to wartime production quotas, they managed to stay afloat and continue producing firearms despite hard times. In 1945, they merged with another armory company in Toledo, Ohio which allowed them greater output capabilities while still maintaining a small staff size. After World War II ended, the Reynoldsburg ArmoryCompany went into decline butThankfully managed to keep alive enough of their products so that they could continue making new innovations into firearm manufacturing until their eventual closure in 1978

The Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Massacre took place on December 15, 1868 when a group of local men, led by James W. Reynolds and John Fenton, killed twelve unarmed black soldiers at the arsenal in what is now known as the Reynoldsburg massacre. The event is also known as the Black Bottom Massacre and the Cottonseed Riot. Reynoldsburg was founded in 1834 by Welsh immigrants who settled in what is today northeastern Ohio. In 1868, James W. Reynolds became one of the first white businessmen in town and he purchased an arsenal from General David Dyer for $2,000. With this new armory resources and access to firearms, Reynoldsburg quickly became a center for gun manufacturing and political activity neighbouring Cincinnati. On December 15th of that year, two days after purchasing the armory from Dyer, Reynolds’ men opened fire on twenty-two unarmed black soldiers gathered at a fairgrounds near town limits. The shootings resulted in the death of six people (three civilians and five military officers) and injuries to many more including three bullet wounds to President Ulysses S. Grant’s head which required surgery later that year. The shooting effectively destroyed any chance ofpeace between northern Cincinnati & southern Ohio until well into the 20th century; it remains one of America’s most notorious gun massacres ever perpetrated.

Reynoldsburg is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the west bank of the Cuyahoga River. The population was 6,827 at the 2010 census and 7,912 at the 2015 estimate. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron–Middletown, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Reynoldsburg was founded in 1814 by surveyors named John Reynolds and James Reid. In 1870, it became a city under an act of Congress granted to it by President Ulysses S. Grant; it had been proposed to create a city by then- Mayor Samuel Janklow but opposed by other citizens because they felt that it would be too large and remove their economic opportunities from larger towns around Cleveland. The merger with neighboring unincorporated communities resulted in an estimated $100 million in economic development over 20 years for both cities combined - more than any other municipal merger in United States history. The first permanent settler arrived in what is now Reynoldsburg on October 16, 1814 when John Reynolds set up camp near present day Union City (now Independence). He named his new community after himself and his brother Jameson Reid who had accompanied him on the initial journey across America. The two men surveyed land around what is now Reynoldstown before coming back east for reinforcements during the Battle of Fallen Timbers which led to General George Washington's march across America in 1794 or 1795 known as "the March from Lexington to Concord". There are several stories about how this event started such as one where one story says that General Washington learned about British forces besieging Boston and decided to move against them instead based off of these reports while touring Reynoldsburgh Township on September 24th or 25th according to some sources Additionally another story has it that General Washington saw an advertisement for land along the Cuyahoga River which he considered because there were no British troops stationed there at that time After learning more about things going on he ordered his army into action moving northward towards Philadelphia however they soon encountered heavy resistance from Patriot forces commanded by Nathanael Greene who successfully blockaded Washington's army forcing him retreating back home rather than allowing him to surrender Another early settler was James Pritchard who arrived during construction of Council Bluffs Dam which created Lake Erie just south of today's town limits on August 12th,1825 according to records kept by USGS . After seeing this potential water resources he donated land upstream so that future settlers could develop this property . This also helped lay groundwork for what would become today's downtown area with lots of commercial activity taking place near modern day University Circle . Today many people visit downtown each day despite its small size dueits wealth derived from its location within walking distance of many local businesses including two universities

Reynoldsburg, Ohio is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,521 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Lucas County. Reynoldsburg is located on the Scioto River and has a humid subtropical climate (Cfa) according to the Köppen Climate Classification system. The city was founded in 1836 by General James Wilkinson as a trading post on the Scioto River between Cincinnati and Covington. In 1840, Wilkinson named it after his friend and neighbor John Reynolds of Delaware who had come west to help settle that part of Ohio. The first post office opened in 1841 with Wm E. Halsey as its first clerk. In 1847, Wilkinson donated land for a public square near town center which became known as Reynoldsburg Square. The square hosted concerts, fairs and other events until 1886 when it was dedicated to John Reynolds Sr., father of John Reynolds Jr., who served as mayor from 1905-1909 and 1915-1917. In 1916, local resident George Puskin donated money for a new high school building which became home to West High School during its early years before moving to its current location adjacent to East High School in 1957. That same year saw the opening of Aiken Drug Store on Third Street across from town hall which remains one of Reynoldsburg's most popular businesses today! In 1906, local resident Jethro Mullins donated what is now called Park Avenue east of town square into Township government so that township citizens could have more direct access to county resources including roads and parks! Park Avenue continues today as an important commercial artery within the city limits! John Fenton served briefly as Mayor from 1917-1920 before being elected Treasurer/Controller in 1920 and serving until 1922 when he resigned due to term limits set by the Ohio Constitution at that time! From 1925 through 1942 he served once again as Mayor but this time with no limit on terms due to state constitutional changes enacted at that time!!! Finally During World War II he served two terms consecutively (1942-1945) as Auditor Court Judge prior to his retirement!! After World War II Residence moved back into downtown but continued hosting many events such Aswell As occasional reunions Of old family friends since then

Reynoldsburg was founded in 1796 by Nicholas Reynolds, a settler from Pennsylvania. The town quickly became a commercial center due to its location on the Ohio River. In 1811, Reynoldsburg was named the capital of what would become the United States. In 1815, Reynoldsburg witnessed the Battle of Antietam, which left more than 50 dead and over 100 wounded.
