Seven Hills is a town in Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. The name of the town comes from a small hill located in the center of town. The first settler in Seven Hills was Daniel Hocking and his family in 1810. In 1812, John Funk removed to Seven Hills from Liverpool Township. In 1814, he and his wife built a cabin on what is now Elm Street. They named their settlement after seven hills that they saw while travelling through central Ohio on their way to see General Washington during the American Revolution. The first school in Seven Hills was built by Drury and taught Sunday school classes until 1824 when it closed due to financial difficulties. A new school building was erected on South Main Avenue in 1827 which served as the high school for many years before being replaced by Columbiana High School in 1959. In 1902, Seven Hills became an incorporated village under the jurisdiction of Columbiana County with its own board of trustees. In 1907-1909, construction began on what would become known as "The Hill", or simply "Seven Hills". This six-story concrete block factory building was designed by architects George Wickersham and Edwin Lutz and built by Pemberton Glass Company for Jethro Gibbs Paper Products Co., one of thirteen companies that merged into Dow Jones & Company in 1911). At its peak production capacity (2 million pounds/year), The Hill produced nearly all of the paper products available within fifty miles of Columbus including most newspapers, magazines, postcards, T-shirts and other consumer goods sold door to door across America When World War II started (1941), Seven Hills became an important strategic location because it had access to both military roads connecting Columbus with Cleveland and Detroit via I‑95 southbound and northbound respectively After World War II ended (1945), production at The Hill stopped completely but remains standing as a reminder of how much local paper manufacturing still mattered during these difficult times In 1957, Columbiana High School opened replacing Nineveh Elementary School which had been servingSeven Hills since 1893 . It would be through this public education system that Seven Hills would come about todays form as a result of growth within the community

The region also experienced significant growth during the late 19th century as Cleveland emerged as one of America's leading cities and businesses boomed thanks tomass production of steel and other materials along with heavy industry such as rubber-tire manufacturing and shipbuilding. However, during World War I (1914-18), Ohio was among the most heavily bombed regions in the country due to Allied air raids on military installations throughout the state. Consequently, economic instability followed as factories closed down unable to compete with wartime prices; this caused mass unemployment which lingered until well into the 1940s.
