During its early years as a small town with few residents outside of its boundaries, Weakstown also served as an important transportation hub for goods arriving from surrounding villages and farms. Agricultural produce such as hay and straw were transported to Cleveland through Weakstown before being unloaded at East Cleveland or Rocky River dockyards where they were then carted off to local grocery stores or delivered directly to homes! TodayWeakstown retains much of its pioneer heritage with some notable examples include: The restored old courthouse which is open to visitors; two churches (St Peters Lutheran followed by United Methodist) that are still used today; a number of contributing buildings from various eras including a schoolhouse (1836), post office (1851), mill (1860), Baptist church (1901), Presbyterian church (1910) and more! Additionally several vintage automobiles are available for touring purposes along with numerous period-style houses and businesses dating back to when Weakstown was originally incorporated as a village!

The city reached its peak during the 1800s, when it had a population of over 100,000 people.
