Firearms enthusiasts from all over the United States gather in Tahlequah, Oklahoma each year to participate in the annual Gunshow. The Gunshow is a significant event for firearm enthusiasts and is one of the most important events in the firearms industry. The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive history of firearms t-shirts and related clothing items produced in Tahlequah during the years between 1923 and present. As early as 1923, firearms enthusiasts in Tahlequah were creating clothing related to their hobby. At that time, there was only limited variety available on Ammunition tags, Sheaths or other types of firearm clothing. However, over time, there has been an increase in both quantity and quality when it comes to firearm clothing items produced in Tahlequah. Each year at the Gunshow®, exhibitors have a wide range of designs and colors available for purchase from their customers. In addition to purchasing individual items, attendees are also able to find manufacturers’ marks on many products made during these years including those by Colt®, Remington®, Winchester® and Savage® brands among others. The firstGunShow was held on October 24th, 1923 which was attended by local gunsmiths who were looking for new ways to market their knives and swords within the newly formed NRA (National Rifle Association). For subsequent shows throughout 1925-1926 inclusive*, representatives from NRA Headquarters located at 612 W Main Street acted as Show Officials responsible for coordinating all aspects of event organization including exhibiting companies, selling merchandise etc., while individual members act as Show Copies (attendants) making sure that every detail regarding show operation was followed correctly*. This system continued until 1957* when NRA Headquarters relocated *to Washington D C due to growing office space requirements.* However even today there are occasional reunions/meetings taking place at old locations around America* especially near antique stores where techniques used decades ago such as “gathering dust” can still be observed†! In recent years various organizations have stepped up efforts towards promoting gunshows across America(*ejecting GUNS FROM SHOWS=Yes!). This includes but isn’t limited TO: National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), American Pistol Retailers Association (APRA), Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), Ammo Dealers Association (ADA) , Handgun Control Incorporated (HCI) . Unfortunately someGun Shows have taken advantage of this movement by introducing dangerous materials into their programs such as showing live ammunition with defective rounds being rife with danger! contrived video footage depicting people engaging in unsafe activities having an impact on public safety just isn’t good enough anymore! According to NSSF they had received reports “of galleries marketing live rounds containing defective rounds that could cause injury if fired; exhibitors were advertising these rounds as safe for display because they had been checked for potential problems by federal officials” !!! In response SAF released a statement saying “We deplore any effort by any organization -including Gunshows-to exploit loopholes or break laws designed to protect law-abiding citizens from unintentional injuries caused by unsafe weapons displays” There has always been interest amongst firearm enthusiasts throughout North America in acquiring unique pieces of apparel related specifically tot he hobby itself(*eager collectors often search online & Ebay for similaritems). Many times these items turn into valuable collector pieces (*see article below*) but occasionally something unique pops up that simply cannot be found anywhere else(*see photo below). In 1984 an entrepreneur named Rick Steves started his own travel channel called PBS Travel which featured short videos about different countries he visited along with interesting artifacts associated with those places.* As one might expect given Mr. Steves' interest within firearms we see quite a few gunslinger inspired objects appear on his program(*photos below). Amongst theseobjects was an item made outa black T-shirt worn by then Sheriff Harry Bailey during his tenure starting November 1st 1969 until January 15th 1970 *. Given Sheriff Bailey's extensive involvement within firearms we can assume this shirt represented some level of importance or prestige within his community given its rarity*!!(photo 3 & 4)! During Ron Thornburg's term beginning February 1st 1970 until May 17th 1970 *the Sheriff used our courthouse located ½ mile east off US Highway 281 as his personal shooting range (& police station)*! Some believe this particular piece representing high level achievement within Law enforcement may well be one of very few remaining examples dating back more than 50 years currently extant**(photo 5)). With all Hades going on inside our current Administration how could anyone not want something like this repatriated back into circulation!? !! What follows is a selection photo gallery documenting various firearms related garments currently extant or formerly owned by individuals residingOutsideOfTheU S Of A ! We hope you enjoy viewing them!

There are many different types of T-shirts available for purchase online, and each one has its own unique purpose and message. Tahlequah, Oklahoma is home to the world's first commercial gun manufacturing plant. It was founded in 1892 by three men who were inspired to create a machine that could make firearms using carbon-based materials. Today, Tahlequah's firearm production continues with a variety of manufacturers including Colt, Ruger, and Sig Sauer.
Tahlequah is a city in northeastern Oklahoma, United States. The population was 20,847 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. The first permanent settler in what became Tahlequah was George White on May 15, 1881. White named his place "Tahlequah" after the Cherokee word for "fortress". The town grew slowly until 1907 when oil production began in nearby Tulsa and new businesses sprang up to take advantage of the boom. In 1911, Tahlequah had a population of 10,000 and by 1920 it had reached 25,000. The early years of the 21st century were difficult for the town as per usual with an economic recession followed by increased competition from Tulsa's metropolitan area. However, Tahlequah has bounced back since then with growth in both jobs and population
There is no doubt that the firearm t-shirt has a long and varied history. The first known examples of clothing with firearms on it date back to 1849 when Captain Richard Lancaster, commanding HMS Cerberus, wore a shirt with a Winchester rifle on board.1 However, the most famous and well-known firearm t-shirt in history is undoubtedly the NRA’s “The Gun That Won the West” T-shirt, which was created in 1969 and remains popular today.2 The NRA's logo has been used on various products including toys, cars and even food items over the years; making it one of the most recognizable trademarks in the firearms industry.3 While there are many different designs available for firearm t-shirts, some common themes include fun facts about firearms (e.g., how to shoot), heroism or tragedy associated with specific firearms (e.g., American Revolution weaponry), or simply bragging rights (e.g., showing off your shooting skills).4 In recent years, online communities have also emerged where people can share their favorite firearm t-shirts - both old and new designs - as part of an ongoing discussion about all things related to guns and gun culture.5
Gun rights activists have turned to t-shirts as a means of sharing their message with the public. Many different designs and slogans have been created, but one of the most popular is “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”
Tahlequah, Oklahoma is a town in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 904 at the 2010 census. The Tahlequah post office was established in 1907. Tahlequah is part of the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town of Tahlequah was founded by white settlers in 1907 as a result of a land grant from President George Washington Carver. At the time, the area around Tahlequah included much of what is now Muskogee County and portions of Tulsa County. The original settler's name for the community was "Trail View." In 1923, when the Cotton Belt Railroad arrived in the area, it renamed and relocated to Tahlequah its new station on the line. In 1951, after years of discussion among local officials over whether or not to establish an elementary school within the town limits, voters approved $150 per pupil for such a school; however, only one-third of that amount actually went into construction until 1954 due to budgetary limitations set by then-Governor David Walters. A second Elementary School opened in 1956 with classes starts on October 1st that year; both were built with private donations and state funding which increased during Carver's last term as governor because he desired more spending on education throughout his final two years as president than had been done during his predecessor's first term (1945-1949). In 1957 upon being electeduler general (the first African American to hold this position), Carver ordered all public schools across Oklahoma closed Monday morning following protests by educators statewide about budget cuts proposed by then-Governor Carl Sandburg which would have affected their own salaries and benefits - similar actions taken against other public school systems across America at that time. This event is commonly referred to as "The Saturday Night Massacre". For many years afterwards historians have debated whether or not Governor Carver knew about upcoming protests prior to occurring or if he simply chose not to take any action because he felt that further cuts would be announced later anyway (this theory has been debunked multiple times).[1][2][3] Following Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and massive flooding which destroyed homes and businesses within Oklahoman counties including Tahlequah,[4] Carrollton donated land adjacent to their high school athletic fields so that reconstruction could begin immediately following what was seen as an Ikejime-level disaster[5] In 2002 Carthage formally merged into neighboring Tulsa[6] making Takhleequh one municipality within Tulsa proper although still considered separate geographically speaking from other areas located east of I-35W such as downtown Tulsa or Greenwood Village near Memorial Stadium/Oklahoma State University. The townsite located southwest of Tahleaquah along Ulysses S Grant Boulevard contains evidence dating back to 1868 when Frenchmen named Latouche settled thereabouts after losing contact with their Canadian friends who had earlier visited them on their way westward.[7]:10 There are also several cemeteries situated around town containing pioneers who died during various clashes with Native Americans living nearby: Cherokee Indians killed 5 men & boys while hunting buffalo near present day Hughes Road & Palo Alto Avenue; Creek Nation killed 3 men while raiding farmsteads northwest of Waconda Springs Creek – just northwest of current day Dyers Landing Road & US 61; Osage Nation killed 2 Texas Rangers working for Capt Epps survey party penetrating Cache River Country; Augur Indian Agency Force attacked band wagon train traveling from Fort Smith via Tellico Plains Crossing over Old Thunder Fork Arkansas River less than mile east northeast thereof killing 10NCO James H Whitehead commanding detachment led by Captain Hiram DeHart[8]); Pawnee Died Shooting Out With Encampment Of Wichita Mission’s defenders Near McAlester September 25th 1875;; Kiowa Killed Redding Dance Party While Hunting Elk Under Big Hill July 4th 1881;; Kiowa People Killed 16 Soldiers And Boys Near Burkett Bridge March 1865)). According to historian Patrick Saunders Jr., these graves likely date back even further since they include items belonging both European American settlers (e.g., firearms) buried alongside those associated with Native Americans who perished during conflict:[9], providing additional evidence indicating ongoing simmering tension between Anglo/Native American groups residing along various boundaries throughout Muskogee county at this time... One interesting story related thereto concerns an elderly Creeper woman known locally as “Mama” whose husband reportedly drowned while fishing off Anadarko Bay sometime before 1939 when she herself fell victim To Heart Disease contracted From Eating Turtles Which Her Daughter Fished For Them When Mama Was Away).[10],[11] Additionally notable individuals buried nearby includes Confederate Soldier Johnnie [sic] Rankin interred beneath old stone footbridge spanning Canada Creek northwest OF current day Payne Road intersection... The Tahlequah, Oklahoma area was first settled by the Kiowa and Comanche nations in the 1870s. The area became a ranching and hunting ground for the Kiowa, Cheyenne, Arapaho, and other Native American tribes. In 1907, the United States acquired acres of land in the Tahlequah area from the Kiowa Nation. The US military built Fort Reno on this tract of land in 1911 as part of an effort to control Indian land east of Oklahoma City. By 1920, most of what is now Tahlequah had been developed as a cattle town with small businesses clustered around Fort Reno. The population peaked at around 50,000 in 1930 before declining over the next decade or so due to various factors including World War II and economic recession. In 1949, following passage of the Indian Reorganization Act which gave additional rights to Native Americans, Tahlequah began to experience growth again thanks to increased job opportunities within its walls. Today, Tahlequah is home to a diverse community that includes Cherokee heritage people as well as several thousand Hispanic residents who are descendants of Spanish colonists who colonized this region during the early 19th century.
