Penney Company Jacob Sennett and his son George Wernham Seward, who renamed it Penney company store #1. The Seward family operated the store until 1911 when it became part of J.C. Penney Company Store #2 which still operates today as a flagship store for JCPenney Corporation in Oregon City, Oregon
