Coatesville is a small town located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,902 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first people to settle in Coatesville were Quakers who arrived from Georgia in 1795 and built a gristmill on the creek that presently goes by their name. They also erected a school and church there. In 1824, John Welsh purchased land east of present-day Coatesville and started to build what would become Welsh's Brewery. The town was renamed Welsh after its founder. In 1829, John Cope established an sawmill in what is now Jonesburg Township which helped produce lumber for buildings and other purposes until it closed down in 1842 due to economic difficulties. In 1845, Reverend George Washington Smith opened a Methodist Episcopal Church in what is now the village of Whitehall which soon became a center for settlement as many families moved there because of the good soil and fertile ground available hereabouts. In 1847, Walter Preece opened his grocery store at 2nd Street and State Road 7 about two miles north of present day Coatesville on State Road 7A (now Ulyattown Pike). This store became one of the most important businesses in the town during the early 1800sdue to its location near public transportation and its wide selection of goods including groceries, notions, drugs, flourishes etc., both local and imported. Another early businessperson was Moses Chamberlain who operated a bakery at 4th Street between Lancaster Avenue (now Elmwood Avenue)and Bellefonte Avenue from1826-1830; it later became known as Mr.'s Bakery & Cafe located on Market Square today since 1860 under different ownership but with same name until 1985 when it changed hands again becoming Brown's Tavern LLC until its sale to PennEast Corporation LLC last year which operates it currently under that name pending zoning changes . Other notable businesses during this time include: Waverly Hardware Company founded by Amos Niles around 1830; First National Bank which began operating as Western Union Telegraph office near current day Main Street corner 3rd Ave & US 20 back then called Erie Canal Boulevard; Mrs.'s Keep House on High St starting out as Beehive Colony Coffee House before becoming Mrs.'s Home Cooking School starting out with three rooms total back then before expanding into eleven suites beginning 1861 - present day Coatesville grew rapidly post World War II due largely to various technological advances such as television production facilities set up hereabouts such as TVG Productions (later Universal Pictures), whose offices are still located across from modern day Main Street opposite Springvale Elementary School; processed foods giant Kroger having its corporate headquarters hereabouts since 1959; car manufacturing plants Ford Motor Company/Chrysler Corporation being situated just off I-79 exit #5 next door to current day Ford dealership while GMC has been headquartered adjacent Susquehanna Valley Mall since 1996 when they merged with Chrysler Group plc.; numerous medical research institutions such as University Hospitals Case Medical Center nearby along with several large universities including Penn State Health Science Center multiple sclerosis hospital Very Large Biomedical Research Facility working together on many groundbreaking projects all over western PA

Around 3000 BC, Greeks began using what is known as the bas-relief cutlery which featured three sharpened cutting edges along one edge and it became known as the πέμπτωνιος (pempeiros). This type of knife would be used for slicing meat or skin from animals such as lions, tigers, bears, etc. By 1000 BC, daggers had started becoming popularized in Europe and they were eventually introduced into Japan proper through travelers who brought them over during their travels. Coatesville, Pennsylvania is a small town in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,581 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Allentown–Easton–Muncy, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Coatesville was Nicholas G. Fenton who arrived in 1784. Fenton and his family were the first to set foot on what is now this townland (that area includes parts of Easton and Muncy townships). In 1814, John Pugh moved to Coatesville from Oxford Township in Lebanon County and began farming there. The community name "Coatesville" derives from Captain John Coate's purchase of 640 acres (achieved through donation from Isaac Haddon) from Elijah Hicks on November 13, 1795. The land had been purchased by Colonel James Forbes as part of an estate he had bought from Hugh Williamson earlier that year. Captain Coate served with distinction during the American Revolution as a lieutenant colonel with the 4th Pennsylvania Regiment and later became captain of artillery for General George Washington's army in the Philadelphia Campaign during which he was mentioned three times in dispatches; also serving under Major General Nathanael Greene at Saratoga Springs and Yorktown before being discharged because of ill health in 1783-1785 after serving 29 months out of 50 months duty! The original "Coatesville" likely derived its name form Captains Nicholas Gaultney and John Coate Sr., two early settlers who built homes along Third Street NW., near where Third Avenue now intersects Main Streets NW.. Captain John Parkhurst settled nearby on October 7, 1800 about four miles south east of present day Allentown; his wife Charity Parkshurst established a toll house known as 'The Point' on October 21st 1801 just northwest corner OF Third Ave & Main St.; it remained into present day Allentown until 1830 when it changed hands several times until becoming property of Mrs Atherton sometime between 1830-1840 she associated herself with Reverend Dr David Stone & tampership services beginning on First floor Front Room 2nd Ave Side stairway leading up stairs off West side hallway entrance

In 1795, the area around Coatesville was part of the Susquehanna County Township. The township was organized on April 12, 1795 and named for General Jonathan Thornburgh, who had been a brigadier general in the British army during the American Revolution. The first settlers to Coatesville were Abraham Cooper and his family. In 1814, John Cook purchased from Abraham Cooper some land in what is now known as Park Row. On October 20, 1824, George Washington Tucker became the first white settler in what is now Coatesville when he bought two acres of land from Isaac Ostermeier. He built a cabin there and named it "Tucker's Cabin". In 1827, he sold his cabin and land to James Witherspoon Petersen. In 1830, Henry Plummer bought land southeast of Tucker's Cabin from Petersen. He erected a log cabin there which later became known as Plummer's Cabin. In 1835, he sold his property to John Hockaday. A post office was established at Coatesville on November 3, 1830; it was called "Thornburgh." On February 21st of 1861, it was renamed "Coatesville." On January 1st of 1865 (11 years after its establishment), it was discontinued because of the action by Pennsylvania State Legislature in that year abolishing slavery within its borders without allowing for any changes therein within any county within that state - regardless of whether they were approved by voters or not - effectively ending all slaveholding activity within Susquehanna County following that year's Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln (see note). The township remained inactive until being reactivated on March 15th of 1988 under current name with new history and present day residents (note).
