In 1868, Abraham Lincoln won the Ulysses S Grant election and became president while still living in Springfield, Illinois which made Easton one of the few places in America he visited during his term as president. Upon Obama's inauguration on January 20th 2009 as 44th President of the United States (2009-2013), many residents Celebrated by having ice cream cones put out outside their doors! One street in particular got pretty wild--the "John Kerry Street" slogan banner advertising Treats For The Presidents campaign quickly turned into an accurate representation whenistorically calculated that only Barack Obama could cone given how much ice cream was being sold near JFK Blvd! Since then there have been several additions/alterations to John Kerry Street--most notably when three lanes were added between birthplace Road & JFK Blvd., since this has created more traffic congestion for drivers trying to get around town center!
