Johnstown is a town in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,693 at the 2010 census. It is the second-largest town in Lebanon County after Johnstown Heights. The original settlement Sitka was located on the north side of the Susquehanna River and what is now Johnstown was founded on land that would later be part of the borough of Allentown. The first binoculars were invented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte in 1795. In 1839, Daniel Webster became the first U.S. Senator from New York to own a pair of binoculars and use them for hunting and surveying purposes; he also used them to view American Revolutionary War battles from a distance. In 1865, German immigrants brought their new technology to this area when they began production of "Titanium cigarettes". The profits generated by these cigarettes allowed Westmoreland Glass Company (WGC) to build a plant in Johnstown and begin production of Binoculars there in 1867; this plant continued until it closed its doors in 1986. A large glass factory complex known as WGC II was built adjacent to the old WGC plant on state Route 309 between 1968 and 1974; during its time it produced everything from eyeglasses to ceiling fans withmann optics products such as those used on E! Entertainment Television’s “The Big Bang Theory” beginning in 1987 until it closed its doors in 2006 due to lack of competition from digital imaging products offered by Google/Facebook etc..

In 1814, Forbes added the word "town" to the name and made it an effective municipal entity for the first time. Ferguson's Tavern became one of the earliest commercial buildings in town. The tavern was destroyed by fire on December 2nd, 1811; but its memory lives on through local residents' annual Christmas Revels which are still held at Ferguson's today. On December 25th each year since 1814 WeeKS organized a street parade through downtown JOHNSTOWN to commemorate this special event that highlights our city's past and future!
