Over time, though, people from all over Tennesse began moving into Brentwood because it offered good schools, easy access to jobs outside of Nashville (due to railroad construction), and safe neighborhoods overall. Today there are more than 50 different nationalities living in or near Brentwood. Today's residents are active in their local communities and enjoy plenty of cultural experiences while they wait for their chance at finding employment or buying homes outside of Nashville. While there are still challenges faced by everyone who moves to this vibrant city center – such as crime rates being high – overall life here feels much more manageable than when it first happened generations ago.
