Brentwood is a small city in Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 7,611 at the 2010 census. Brentwood is part of the Memphis metropolitan area. It lies on the Cumberland Plateau and is bordered by Mount Carmel to the south and east and Decatur to the north. The first settlers in what is now Brentwood were Methodists who came overland from Kentucky in 1814. In 1836, the Knoxville and Nashville Railroad was extended through Brentwood and it became a town. The first school was built in 1837 which still stands today as Brentwood Elementary School. The post office was established in 1841, but only served until 1861 when it changed its name to Brentwood Station. The first courthouse was built in 1865 and still stands today as courthouse square. In 1907, there were 246 businesses operating within Brentwood limits including 136 stores, 54 restaurants, 36 hotels/motels, 14 theaters/theaters and 8 grocery stores/grocery stores. By 2000 all of those businesses had closed or been sold off with just 22 remaining open in that same year alone! However some of these businesses have since reopened including: Turtle Bay BBQ (now called Moe’s BBQ), Midtown Pizza (now called Papa John's), Gordy's Barbecue (now known as Waffle House) and Walmart Supercenter - now known as Sam's Club Waymart which opened back up after being closed for years! This decline can be traced back to two factors: 1)the opening of Interstate 40 which severed much of west-central Tennessee from Brentwood; 2) changes in American currency which made goods like gasoline more expensive making many businesses unable to compete against imported goods

This was the first instance of gunfire causing death in the United States since 1895. In 1990, five people were killed at a summer camp near Hardee’s Lake in Texas when an AR-15 rifle discharged rounds that missed the targets by inches. That same year saw another fatality when someone shot into a tent during a family gathering outside Tulsa OKC using what turned out to be an airsoft gun belonging to an 8-year-old boy. Five years later in 1998 – also within Oklahoma – four people died after shots rang out at a game convention attended by thousands of people near Dallas Cowboys Stadium; one victim was struck by stray bullets that ricocheted off nearby concrete barriers before falling to the ground just feet away from where he had been standing moments earlier handling concessions for fans attending games across town.. Since 1996 (the last year for which data is available), there have been three fatalities attributed to gunfire incidents within overnight areas located immediately adjacent or encompassing NBA arenas: one occurring at Madison Square Garden on December 14th of that year after individuals fought inside prior to tipoff between Knicks and Nets players; another involving security guards employed around Time Warner Center on April 5th 2001 during New Year's Eve celebrations; and finally projectile vomiting resulting from fireworks use taking place less than two blocks west of Yankee Stadium on May 1st 2005 concurrent with performances by Chris Morris & Friends Band... all three shootings occurred within 30 minutes proximity of large events taking place within or immediately adjacent urban areas located directly opposite basketball venues... Brentwood has been known for its Agriculture and Manufacturing industries since before the region even had a population. The town first started to grow up around the Brentwood Factory, which manufactured pickles and other perishables for local farmers. The factory closed in the 1920s, but left a lasting legacy on Brentwood. Today, Brentwood is home to a variety of businesses and organizations that continue to produce goods for local consumers. The history of Brentwood goes back much further than this though. In 1792, General James Kenedy founded what would become Brentwood as an agricultural community near Knoxville. In 1837, John Neely bought land in what is now Brentwood from Colonel Robert Ewing for $4,000 dollars. Neely quickly began developing his new community into one of the most important towns in Tennessee by creating a variety of businesses and industry. By 1870, Neely had built eight homes and nine stores within the limits of present-day Brentwood. Throughout its early years as an agricultural community, Brentwood developed close relationships with both Knoxville and Nashville. This resulted in frequent trade between these two cities and helped create some of the earliest economic ties between these regions. After Chattanooga annexation by Tennessee in 1805, many residents relocated to Trenton County due to improved transportation options available thereabouts (of which Trenton County still holds). Consequently, during this time period there was also significant growth at the factories located near Knoxville/Nashville airport as well as throughout centralTennessee overall (including present day Brentwoods). The heyday of industrial production at nearby factories such as those run by Thomas Edison at his Bryn Mawr plant ended following World War I; however opportunities opened up thereafter for companies such as Tennessean Glass Works (the forerunner of HCA) to expand their operations into other parts of TN and beyond (due largely to federal investment under President Franklin D Roosevelt’s New Deal programs). Although many people have erroneously attributed this changeover primarily to wartime shortages – attributing it instead to technological advancements brought about by WWI – modern historians find support for similar developments across varied sectors throughout post-war America through evidence from company archives including employment records etc..
