In 1881, Mount Juliet's first gun barrel factory was established. The factory produced barrels for handguns and rifles. It was the first of its type in Tennessee. At that time, it was the only factory in the state making firearms. The company continued to produce guns until 1940. During that time, it manufactured pistols as well as rifles and shotguns. In 1940, the company merged with National Firearms Manufacturing Company to form National Rifle Association of America (NRA). NRA continues to produce firearms today.

Mount Juliet, Tennessee is an unincorporated community in Robertson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,914 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Cumberland River at its confluence with the Susquehanna River. The first permanent settlers in Mount Juliet were Andrew Johnson and his family who arrived in 1819. They built a log cabin on a bluff above the river. The town of Mount Juliet was named for them and they opened a store and sold goods from their home until they moved to Nashville in 1825. They left behind theirlog cabin which was still standing when the town was platted in 1871. In 1892, John Dickson founded what would become Benham Mills just upstream from modern day Mount Juliet. His mill processed lumber from nearby Bald Mountain and produced flour for local markets until it closed operations in 1957. A small dam across the Cumberland River created by Dickson allowed water to be used for irrigation which led to growth of the village downstream including new homes, businesses, churches and schools along with recreational amenities such as a swimming pool and tennis courts. In 1960, Bedrock Mines Corporation established an open-pit mine called New Mexico Gold Mine near present day Mount Juliet due to large deposits of gold discovered there during exploration campaigns conducted by Don Armstrong during that decade's boom years of mineral production]. In 1993–1994 bedrock management issues caused significant problems within New Mexico Gold Mine that eventually led to its closure; this also impacted Mount Juliet adversely because many jobs connected with mining were eliminated or relocated there after New Mexico Gold Mine went offline] In 2000 Consolidated Coal Company announced plans to build a coal mine adjacent to Benham Mills; however this project ultimately failed due to high costs associated with engineering work required for perpendicular ventilation] In 2013 Bob Corker proposed that Appalachian Voices Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Asheville apply for taxpayer-funded development rights adjacent both sides of Interstate 85 between Chattanooga & Knoxville – this proposal received support from both state Rep.[Johnnie Tate (R-Tennessee's Second District)][and state Sen.[Andy Biggs (R-Tennessee’s First District)]. However no action was taken against Bob Corker's proposal following public outcry], prompting him to apologize] In 2017 environmental activists began protests surrounding Chesapeake Energy Corporation’s planned compressor station slated for development east of downtown Memphis—the protest resulted in several arrests] In 2018 Trump administration announced it will withdraw Environmental Protection Agency funding from Appalachian Voices Inc.] Mount Juliet is located at (35°01′41″N 86°36′24″W). According to the USGS National Geodetic Survey, its elevation is 707 feet (215 m). According To the 2010 census, 1,914 people lived here total including 602 households which had no children under age eighteen living with them: 9% of all dwellings lacking any children under eighteen were occupied by those over sixty four years old alone!

Mount Juliet is a census-designated place in Knox County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Knoxville metropolitan area. The community was founded by George Washington and his wife Martha on July 6, 1775. The first settler was John Stuart who arrived in 1776. A post office called Mount Juliet was established in 1802 and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1814, Congress passed an act entitled "An Act to Encourage Agriculture and Make appropriations for that Purpose," which authorized the erection of a schoolhouse and cornerstone for one at Mount Juliet for use as a school district meeting house. The first schoolmaster at Mount Juliet was James Whitehill who served from 1815 to 1819. He taught students from Great Mills Township and most likely also students from nearby Cullowhee Township since he resided there when he started teaching. In 1865, General Andrew Johnson visited Mount Juliet while campaigning against Confederate General Robert Ewing during the Civil War; Johnson ordered all Unionists living within two miles of Chattanooga to leave their homes including Mount Juliet as punishment for supporting the Confederacy. As a result of this campaign, many residents fled to nearby towns such as Kingston or Hendersonville where they were able to rebuild their lives after being forced out of their homes by the Union Army during the war. In 1910, construction began on what is now Appalachian Regional Commission's Mountain View School located just outside of town on what had been land donated by local resident John Pritchard who also became interested in helping provide educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged citizens of Appalachia because he saw it as his personal responsibility given his connections to both mountaineers and educationally disadvantaged people throughout central Appalachia which included much of Great Smoky Mountains National Park which lay adjacent to town limits making it difficult for people within those boundaries access quality education despite having access to more resources than people living outside those limits due primarily to transportation limitations caused by mountains towering above those boundaries with limited views afforded especially To reach places like Jackson Bottom (now Tellico Hills) located east beyond town limits without going through town limits or passing through mountains Interstate 70 hairpin turns easily took him between Jackson Bottom geologically speaking helicopter topaccessible via Airport Rd about 15 min drive away) This lack of accessible locations made Mt Juliet one of the most underserved rural communities in Appalachia with only 7% percent (2001 US Census)of its population possessing any formal education level according: compared with 82% among families with children ages 3-17 years residing inside city Limits! While some individuals may have chosen notto pursue formal education due too prohibitive tuition prices charged herein or other challenges faced within Appalachian schools system overall these individuals represent less then 5% percent(2001 US Census)of all local residents possessing any formual education level! Despite this abundance however unique challenges still remain particularly related Mt Juliet's lack thereof Of high speed internet&cellular service providing majoritywit hdialysis facilities typically delivering affordable rates &limited hours! For example last year during my working days I am limited down time 40 minutes per day w/o internet service; same goes w/ cell phone service
