In 1911, Earle Barnes purchased an Andrews Rifle from A.J.'s widow and renamed it the "Barnes Rifle." Barnes became one of America's most famous gun designers and manufacturers. He is credited with developing the first practical semi-automatic rifle. The Barnes Rifle was later adopted by American forces during World War II as the M1A2 Sherman Tank Gunner's Carbine (also known as the BAR).During World War II, Barnett also designed a hearing protection system for use with his firearms which he called "The Barnett Hearing System." This system consisted of two pieces: a reflex earmuff and a noise isolating helmet. When these were combined, they formed what is now known as The Barnett Head Protection System(HPS).The Parker Arms Corporation began making Hearing Protection Systems(HPs) for law enforcement officers in 1968. HPsfactoryincorporatedin1970andwasthefirstcoproducerofhearingprotectionsystemsandmanufactureroftheM1A2ShermanTankGunnersCarbine.(BAR)HPsfactorycontinuedtoproducehearingprotectionsystems throughoutthe 1970sand1980suntilthe1990swhentheywere merged into USP Brands Incorporated

Andrews, Texas is a small town in southern Bexar County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The name Andrews was given to the community by General John T. Andrews in 1879 as part of a land grant to his brother James Aiken Andrews. The community site was on what is now Utopia Drive and Central Avenue in what is now southwest Andrews Township. In 1907, when San Antonio became the capital of Texas, it merged with Austin and this left Andrews as its only town. The original courthouse and jail were built in 1912 on Commerce Street (now I-10) between South Congress Avenue and Northwest Seventh Street in southwest Andrews Township; they are still used today as county buildings. In 1951, the government building moved from northwest corner of Main Street east of US Highway 290 to its present location on Elmendorf Road (later US Highway 183). In 1957, a school district was established within the new township and renamed Brooks Elementary School after Mrs. Annie Ladd Brooks who donated land for that purpose; that school district has since dissolved but her memory lives on through her gift to Anderson High School which opened in 1974 where she once gave money for students' uniforms

Andrews, Texas is a small town in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,883 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Worth–Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Andrews was founded by pioneers who arrived in 1836. The town was named for General Andrew Johnson, who served as President of the United States from 1828 to 1829 and as Commander-in-Chief of the Union army during the Mexican War. The first settlers were men from Georgia and North Carolina. By 1840, there were about twenty families living in what is now Andrews. In 1845, a post office was established at Andrews with mail sent to Fort Worth and Dallas. By 1850, there were over fifty families living in Andrews. Many of these men had come from Kentucky and Tennessee because those states offered fertile soil and good prices for land. In 1865, Andrews became state capital of Texas when Austin became the seat of government after Mexico's victory in the Mexican War ended that year. At that time, most law enforcement and other functions moved to Austin while military operations took place at Fort Sam Houston near San Antonio until it was replaced by a new fortifications in 1870 calledFort Mason which still stands today within city limits In 1880, local farmers formed a stock market association known as The Farmers' Home Journal Company Limited which began operations on November 15th with $5 worth of shares outstanding During World War II there were several attempts by German forces to invade through what is now Andrews but all failed due to Allied air superiority . On September 10th 1945 Japanese forces invaded from south central Tarrant County without warning or attack leading to an uproar throughout much of central TX including Andrews where people prepared for battle before learning only minutes later that their homes had been taken over

The town of Andrews, Texas was founded in 1845 by Nicholas Andrews. The town grew rapidly and soon boasted a population of over 300 people. In 1865, the area became part of the newly created county of Walls and Andrews ceased to exist as a separate municipality.
