Galena Park is located in Galveston County, Texas. The first guns being used in the area were pistols. In 1836, a man by the name of James Bowie purchased land in what is now Galena Park and began to build a home. He named his home Bowie Ranch after himself. In 1837, Bowie also started to sell rifles and shotguns to settlers in the area. In 1838, John Wesley Powell became interested in exploring the Colorado River and decided to travel down its banks. While on his way downriver, he came across a group of Native Americans who were wearing war paint and carrying bows and arrows. After speaking with them, Powell realized that they were not enemy combatants but friendly warriors looking for passage on the river. When he asked what their purpose was, they replied "to trade goods with us." Powell then offered them passage if they would come back the next day with some goods he had bought from merchants along the river. They did so and when Powell returned to headquarters at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas City, he reported this incident to Congress as part of his report on United States exploration of North America during the 1840s (Ferguson). In 1840-1841, George Waco founded Waco Settlement near present-day Galena Park TX along Buffalo Bayou. This settlement was one of several around Texas at this time that attempted to establish homespun communities based upon religious beliefs rather than farming practices characteristic of most Texans at that time (Bennett). Like many other early settlements throughout Texas (and much later), Waco was platted by Jedediah Smith while traveling through central Texas in search of new lands for Pioneer Land Company investors (Dickey). Smith's map shows two major forks running off into Buffalo Bayou which served as boundaries between Waco Settlement proper (north) and Brushy Creek Settlement eastward (south), both within present-day Galveston County (!; see: Bennett map below image courtesy Google Earth)). It should be noted that Brushy Creek eventually tributaries into Buffalo Bayou north of where Waco currently stands made it difficult for pioneers from Brushy Creek Settlement ever access Buffalo Bayou south side due primarily to embankments built during construction of Interstate 10 modern day Highway 10 about 25 miles southeast from whereWaco now stands - an event which has been referred to as 'The Drive'. Meanwhile back at Bowie Ranch,. James Bowie died suddenly in 1846 without leaving any children behind so ranching passed onto his nephew Sam Houston who sold it off piecemeal over several years before finally taking it over completely in 1894 when he turned 65 years old! Sam Houston's grandson Jimmie Lee Hogg purchased it again briefly before selling it back again less than two years ago! gunmen including Clint Eastwood were seen operating out OF Galena Park TX circa 1966 & 1970 according as well as movie sets completed within city limits gunfire outside city limits

The first handgun magazine in Galena Park was called the "Guns and Ammo Magazine." It was located on Second Street. In 1829, a new store opened on Fourth Street and it became known as the "Galena Park Rifle & Pistol Store." In 1832, a shotgun magazine was started by Wm. Hickey and Jno. O'Neill at Sixth Avenue and First Streets. The first shotgun magazine in Galena Park was called "The Shotgunner's Magazine." In 1835, a rifle magazine was started by Capt. John Ritchey at Third Street and Main Street. In 1840, a revolver magazine was started by Capt. James Boddy at Seventh Avenue and First Streets. A rifle ammunition store also opened in Galena park in 1845 which became known as "The Arsenal Arms House." In 1861, prohibition began to take hold in America and guns were no longer allowed without a license from state authorities or special permission from federal agents. This led to an increase in gang activity around town which caused gun shops to close their doors for fear of being raided or seized by law enforcement officers.Gun magazines continued to be established throughout prohibition however many of them quickly went out of business because there were not enough licenses available to keep them open. Galena Park is a city in Collin County, Texas, United States. The population was 12,813 at the 2010 census. Galena Park is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. In 1871 during the time Galena Park was still a small town, J.W. McNaught organized what would become the first cattle drive in Collin County. He started out with 10 head of cows and grew to over 100 by 1880 due to his success in carrying goods over the Brazos River from Austin to Fort Worth on horseback and wagons. By 1890, McNaught had developed a ranch that included about of land includingGalena Park. The great Chicago meatpacking industry arrived in Galena Park after World War I when representatives of Armour Meat Packers met with local businessmen to discuss how they could expand their business into Texas based on technological advances then being developed in Chicago such as refrigeration and packing plants for meat animals. Armour ultimately built its largest plant here – one that remains operational to this day – but also began shipping its products offshore for shipment back home across the Rio Grande River into Mexico City before finally settling down permanently in Texarkana, Arkansas (now Little Rock) after another decade or so of expansionism throughout North America (see: "Armes Corporation"). Armour's plant produced high-quality protein products until 1977 when it merged with Swift & Co., one of American National Bank's four divisions which became known as Swift & Co., Incorporated (ANSBI). In 1984, American National Bank divestitures left ANSBI with two operations; Armour Meat Packers which continued manufacturing until 1992 and Red Flag Foods which was unchanged until 2001 when it purchased White Sands Baking Company from Donatelli’s Franchises division of Peet’s Coffee & Tea Group - making White Sands Baking Company one of only two U.S.-owned cake baking companies remaining today within foodservice equipment manufacturer Peet’s Chocolate/Cake Manufacturing Division.). In 2002 American National Bank announced plans to sell its assets resulting in Armours Meat Packers becoming an affiliate member stationer at rival Sammartini Bros./PepsiCoStore locations operated by Sammartini Bros./PepsiCo stores across three states plus Puerto Rico under exclusive affiliation agreement through 2007 with PepsiCo Canada Enterprises Ltd.;[4] however upon further review it was determined that there were no significant leftover liabilities or complementary retail presence available within Sammartini Bros./PepsiCo stores outside those states warranting continuation as an affiliate associate stationer arrangements; accordingly armours ceased operations effective September 2nd, 2002.[5] The current name for this campusredicated former armaments manufacturing facility is now called “GalenaParkTexasUniversity” funded primarily through private donations having been made totaling more than $103 millionstrate since 1996 including contributions from co-founder Lamar Hunt who named his college after his wife actress Mia Farrow while she wasstill living at Woodstock Manor near Los Angeles; see also: www://www2.parknoteschools1120305aandbldg9 galenaparktxu

Galena Park was named after the local mineralogist, Dr. Samuel Galena, who discovered and named the mineral galena in 1836. The first resident of Galena Park were Anglo-Dutch immigrants who settled in the area around 1846. By 1870, there were over 100 homes in the park and it had a population of about 350 people. In 1916, Galena Park became a city with its own government and by 1926, it had an estimated population of 7,500 people. The city annexed nearby Spring Branch in 1951 and by 1960, Galena Park had an estimated population of 11,500 people. In 2002Galena Park merged with Heights Village to form one large urban center with a combined population of over 20,000 residents.
