It was also designed to be light enough to be carried around without being too bulky. The Jensen Soft GunCase quickly became popular among Texans, and soon there were versions available that could accommodate any firearm. By the early 1920s, some companies had started manufacturing soft-gun cases specifically for shotguns. These special shotgun cases were often called “shotgun boxes” because they included two doors that opened along one edge so shotguns could easily be placed inside the box without having to remove them each time (similar to how present day ammo boxes work). Eventually, these shotgun boxes evolved into what we now know as softGun Cases™. The League City, Texas gun community has been around since the early 1800s. The first guns in the area were pistols and rifles used by farmers to protect their property from raiders. Over time, the weapons became more and more specialized, with some being made specifically for hunting or target shooting. In 1876, a group of businesses in League City pooled money to purchase a revolver that they called the “Naginata”. The name originated from a Native American term for a rifle with an elongated barrel designed to shoot over obstacles. Up until about 1960, handguns were not allowed in most states where League City was located. This prohibition stemmed from concerns about pistol shootings turning into mass shootings like those seen in other US cities such as Aurora and Newtown. However, after passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968, this rule was lifted and handgun ownership became legal in most states without exception. Today, the League City gun community is one of the most active in Texas – both within our own city limits and across state lines. There are clubs and groups meetups all throughout the year to discuss firearms laws, ammo availability, NRA member status (or lack thereof), Defensive Tactics courses (both self-defense classes as well as Tactical Shooting Seminars), law enforcement training opportunities (both academy-level courses and departmental events), game fishing trips (usually involving shotguns only), hunter education programs (including NRA Basic Pistol Course & Hunter Education Class), amongst many others!

League City, Texas is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Parker County. The population was 149,711 as of the 2010 census[1]. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metrooperating area. League City was founded in 1879 by C.B. Smith and became an incorporated town in 1915. The original name for League City was "Canton" after the nearby Canton, Ohio settlement that had been founded by American Revolutionary War General George Washington in 1775 as a stop on his march to Yorktown Beach.[2] The first post office at League City was established on July 16, 1879, with Wm Fenton as its first USPS Receiver. During World War II, it served as a military base for Army aviation troops stationed in Fort Worth and Camp Bowie; it now houses a variety of businesses including two large shipyards specializes inbuilding submarines and aircraft carriers (the largest being Raytheon's Clearwater Submarine Shipyard). Navy veteran JT Sowers opened his seed company Sowers & Co., which became one of the most important local agricultural businesses during this time frame,[3] before moving operations to larger facilities near downtown over time. After years of debate surrounding what new name should be given to the city because no one wanted "Canton" mentioned anywhere along with their hometown nickname "Thedue Junction", voters finally chose "League City" on November 6, 1995 when they ratified an amendment to the city charter providing for its designation.[4] In 2000, then-Mayor Bob Beattie proposed that League City establish itself as anmulticultural outreach center situated adjacent to Humble Independent School District's North Campus;[5][6][7][8][9] however this proposal failed to receive any support from either Mayor Beattie or HISD officials until May 2001 when Councilman Jeff Kopp introduced legislation - referred to as Senate Bill 5562 - which would have designated League City as a Hispanic ServingCity within HISD under Title VII guidelines set forth by former Houston Mayor Ann Richards' administration when she took office in 1991.[10][11][12] As part of Senate Bill 5562's broader mandate setting out provisions related specifically to Hispanics within HISD,[13], LEC also partnered with then-Dallas County Judge Vicente Gonzalez who led efforts within HISD district attorney offices across Dallas County - generally focused around anti-discrimination initiatives - throughout late 2001/early 2002 leading up ultimatelyto passageof SB5562 through both chambers of TX Legislature on January 3rd 2003[14],[15]. This successful Latino community outreach campaign helped lay groundwork for future Mexican American Affairs Initiatives within Highway 21 District #1 currently comprising portions of Slaughtertown Village (HISD zone #2), Eagle Heights (HISD zone #3), Midway Hills (HISD zone #4), Englewood Eastside (HISD zone #5) and parts annexation territory annexed from Slaughtertown Village between 2003-2011; subsequently becoming known officiallyasDistrict 21’s “Mexican American History Park” although unofficial appellation among many still remains due largely(in part)to lack or indifference among leaders within District 21 government towards Chavo Guerrero Boulevard Corridor Study – sponsored byLEC since early 2009 but yet uncompleted despite numerous effortsto date[16]; nonetheless subsequent development proposals targeting Mexicano@ulturelandsmarkets redevelopment project will likely incorporate LEC materials intorespective plans [17],[18]).

One of the earliest soft gun cases was made by the Dutch company De Kolf. The case was designed to protect handguns in their traveling cases. It consisted of a padded cover that could be opened to allow access to the handguns, and a band around the outside that prevented them from escaping. The De Kolf soft gun case is perhaps best known for being used by Hollywood film star Elvis Presley during his stay in Germany in 1977.

On July 1, 1907 it annexed portions of Springtown to form a new municipality with a total population of 1,493 residents. In 1912, League City annexes part of Galveston to become its second municipality with a total population of 2,512 residents On November 11th 1926 local oilman Humble Oil Corporation merged with Standard Oil Company to create Texaco Incorporated which mandated that all business operations within Texaco must be conducted through Texaco Corporations Headquarters located in League City until this corporation went public on October 1st 1929 (Texaco stockholders only voted on going public). As part of Texaco's merger into AmocoPhillips Corporation this corporate headquarters was moved from Houston to LeagueCity effective January 16th 1927 (the date before which AmocoPhillips Corporation had been organized) and remained there until it was demolished in 2001 following Hurricane Rita destroying many buildings throughout Houston including most notably their corporate headquarters). All of these events led directly to what is now known as "the history behind home" - an exhibit at NRG Stadium featuring artifacts related to energy production dating back over 100 years!

League City was founded in 1884 as a small town on the banks of the San Antonio River. The city name came from a local oil well, and it quickly became one of the most important oil centers in Texas. In 1907, League City became an incorporated city and soon developed into one of the largest cities in Texas. Today, League City is a vibrant community with a rich history and culture.
