In Little Elm, Texas, holster historian and author Donny English has been collecting holster information and artifacts for more than 20 years. His collection of holsters from the early 1800s to the present is one of the largest in the state. English has written extensively on handguns and holster design, and his knowledge of Little Elm history will be sure to interest anyone interested in firearms History. The first handguns in Little Elm were pistols designed by John Browning in 1871. In 1875, a rifle company called The Red River Rifle Club was formed with the goal of providing a “safe haven” for Confederate officers during the Civil War. The club rented space at a local grocery store and began selling rifles to civilians. Soon enough, it became evident that there was demand for handguns among these civilians; however, no one knew how to make these guns properly. One man who had experience making pistols was Wm Henson Jr., who had earlier worked on Browning’s new Model A pistol. Henson started manufacturing handguns in Little Elm under the name The Arsenal Company in 1876. His pistols were initially called “The Mark 3 Pistol” because they differed only marginally from those made by Browning himself. However, soon enough, people began calling them “Henson Holsters” after Mr. Henson himself. In 1877-8 (or possibly earlier), Purdy Manufacturing Company produced what is considered to be America’s first true open-back holster; this holster consisted of two straps connected by an elastic band running around your waist just behind your back – similar to modern day belt holsters! This type of holster allowed you greater range when carrying your handgun because it allowed you unrestricted movements within your clothing! It also helped prevent damage to your firearm if someone got their hands on it! From here on out, most all leather holsters would rely upon straps or elastics as their retention system! With so many different types and designs available for handguns starting off simply as prototypes (such as those produced by Purdy), it can be difficult for historians or enthusiasts alike to know which HOLSTER deserves our attention today! The company produced holsters for both horse and gun owners. In 1854, the company opened a new factory in Fort Worth, Texas. It continued to produce holsters until it merged with another company in 1907. From 1907-1914, the Little Elm Armory produced holsters for Colt pistols. In 1914, the armory closed its doors and all of its products were confiscated by the United States government.

Little Elm, Texas is a small town located in the eastern part of the state of Texas. The population was 1,569 at the 2010 census and it is part of the Corpus Christi metropolitan area. Little Elm is known for its namesake tree - the Little Elm tree, which grew near where it currently stands. The town also contains a number of smaller shops and businesses as well as residences. The community started out as a small farming village situated on an alluvial plain between two mountain ranges. By 1871, however, when Little Elm incorporated as a town, the population had dwindled to just six residents. In 1925, when other parts of Corpus Christi were annexed to Little Elm, its population size increased to over 1,000 people. Today, Little Elm remains one of America's smallest towns with only about 60 residents living within its limits. The history of Little Elm starts with Isaac Hallam who first set foot in what is now the town in 1872 while he was working on cattle ranching in nearby San Antonio. Over time various owners and tenants moved into and around what would become Little Elm until it became one continuous community by 1925. That year saw the incorporation of neighboring communities including Hoggs Valley (later renamed Springwood), White Sands Rancho Seco (later renamed Woodlawn), and Rolling Hills Rancho Seco (later renamed Northbrook). Today housing developments have replaced most farms in central Little Elm; however some original buildings still stand such as Main Street Masonic Lodge No 2 & 3 which opened in 1902 & 1904 respectively & Two-Temple Baptist Church which was built c 1860s

Holster designers started working on designs that would conform better to these new surroundings, resulting in organizations such as The Colt Company starting producing revolvers with NATO-standard slides which could be worn appendix or outside the waistband (OWB). After WWII, revolverholster manufacturers shifted focus back towards concealed carry primarily because fewer people were actually interested in using open-faced revolvers anymore (due largely to changes in societal norms)

Little Elm is a city in Collin County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Little Elm is located on a bend in the Brazos River and it is bordered by Fort Worth to the north, Arlington Heights to the east, Grand Prairie to the south and Richardson to the west. The first settler in Little Elm was John Urias who arrived about 1835. Urias built his house on what is today First Street near present day Lake Merritt Parkway. Urias' house still stands and can be seen from Central Boulevard. A plaque marks Urias' location. The town site was claimed by James Hogg in 1839 and he named it after his father-in-law William Hicks who had settled in Coppell before him. There were several other early settlers including Isaac Browning (1840), Wm Clements (1841), Ebenezer Cummings (1842), Jno Ennis (1843) & Ephraim Goodloe(c1798 - d1865). In 1845 David Garland bought 640 acres of land along what is now FM 1960 just east of present day Interstate 10 for $10 per acre ($160 total). He donated this land to Stonewall Jackson's Confederate Army during their battle at Braggs Ranch which took place July 1863 near where Garland's farm now sits. When Johnson became President of America on November 8th 1865, he issued an executive order that "All public lands within twelve miles of any city or point out without military garrison must be surrendered." This order also encompassed all private property within 12 miles of any military post or city limits except for small parcels owned by citizens who could surrender their land with only nominal damages plus compensation for loss of value due to war time occupation etc... David Garland continued living on his 640 acres until his death in 1871 when it passed into ownership of his son Olin Garland Jr.. In 1865 David Garland had also donated another 160 acres northeast of FM 1960 off Old US Highway 15 about halfway between West Grapevine and Springerville., here he founded Springerville which later merged into Little Elm as wellGarland Park....Olin Sr.'s death left little interest remaining so he sold most if not all his holdings including Springerville & garland park back toDavid Johnston over a period extending over many years prior to Johnston's purchase by George Bush Sr..Bush Sr.'s father George H W Bush also had some interests there.........Today much remains visible from these properties such as Garlands House & garage which are both listed on National Register Of Historic Places; All around town there are numerous surviving buildings dating back many years including: local grocery store called Mrs Malone's; blacksmith shop; post office; Baptist church building & parsonage; old hotel/motel next door now used as apartments...........There have been multiple fires throughout history affecting various parts of Little Elm......One such fire that destroyed much evidence occurred August 1911 when a building managed by Mrs Malone caught fire while she unattended her children playing inside...............This particular fire has been incorrectly blamed numerous times for causing most notably: A 1948 arson attack against Brushy Creek Elementary School.....................This school closed because almost every one OF THE TEN STUDENTS INCLUDING TWO 6TH GRADERS AND ONE 3RD GRADE TEACHER WERE IN CLASS WHEN A CANNON FIRED FROM OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL MADE AN APPEAL TO ANYONE WITHIN DISPOSITION.......................................On October 5th 2005 two teenagers were arrested after setting a tire on fire inside Brushy Creek School............................The school reopened December 2009 after being dismantled due largely to community activism.............In March 1984 two employees at Baylor University’s Health Sciences Center became trapped underground when an airtight seal failed during excavation work..................... university officials decided against further rescue efforts due lack of resources at the time.................. Today Baylor University Health Sciences Center operates as Medical Arts Tower................... Another major incident occurred September 11th 2001 when terrorist planes flew into Twin Towers killing thousands......... On January 17th 2006 Little Elm firefighters responded successfully To A massive explosion originating from an oil refinery approximately 5 miles northwest of town..................This refinery exploded resulting in serious injuries& extensive damage........................................Today little Ellens skyline remains mostly intact although some recent construction has taken place nearby including: An apartment complex known as Trump Place whose walls are covered in TRUMP TRUCK TAGS.; An auto dealership known as White Sands Motorsports LLC.; An Energy Drink company located across US Highways 10 & 20 known as Red Rock Saloon

In 1836, a group of Texans land on the Little Elm Prairie and formed the town of Little Elm. The settlement thrived for a time, but soon faced difficulty due to harsh weather conditions and lack of resources. In 1847, the town was renamed Elmira after a nearby mountain. The name lasted until 1862 when it was changed back to Little Elm. In 1907, the town merged with nearby Rockport to form what is now called Perryville.
