Scope mounts have a long and varied history in South Houston, Texas. The first scope mounts were made to hold rifles in place while hunting. Today, Scope Mounts are used for a variety of purposes such as law enforcement, target shooting, and duck hunting. Scope Mounts are becoming more popular each year because they provide an easy way to keep your rifle elevated during hunts or practice.
Scope mounts are designed to attach a rifle to a Telescopic Sight or spotting scope. A traditional mount typically has an arm that Threads onto the top of the scope and a clamp that attaches to the rifles barrel. The mount then moves around on the rifle, depending on how you want it to point, to provide maximum range and clarity for your sighting accuracy. There are many different types of mounts available today, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Here we will take a look at three popular types of mounts: Weaver-style swivels, Harris bipod mounts, and Illuminator sights. Weaver-Style Swivels: Weaver-style swivels are one of the most common types of mounts used in optics gear because they’re easy to use and require no tools other than some wrenches. To install a Weaver-style swivel, first remove the stock from your rifle by unscrewing it at both ends and pulling it out from under the barrel (use caution not to damage the barrel). Then place your telescope or spotting Scope onto one end of the swivel arm (the “up” side) and screw it into place on your rifles rail using two wrenches (the “down” side). Be sure not to overtighten these screws! Once screwed in place, tighten them down using a wrench until they feel snug against your telescope or spotting Scope. Now reattach your stock by reversing this process and screwing it back in Place. You can now fire off some rounds without having any issues! Harris Bipod Mount: Harris bipod mounts offer another option for attaching rifles to Telescopic Sights or Spotting Scopes. This type of mount is typically composed of four metal legs that connect directly to either an aluminum tripod leg or a rubber/plastic base. To attach your rifle using a Harris bipod mount, first remove its receiver(s) by unscrewing them at both ends and pulling them out from beneath its barrel (use care not TO DAMAGE THE BARREL!). Then place one metal leg on top of another metal leg provided on either side of your telescope or spotter scope (use caution when doing this as there may be sharp edges). Be sure not too tighten these screws up as you might break their thread if done incorrectly! Scope mounts are a type of mount that allow a rifle to be aimed at distant objects. They are most commonly used for sniper rifles, but can also be used for other firearms. There are several different types of scope mounts, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. The two most popular types of Scope Mounts are the Weaver style and the MIL-STD-1913 style. Weaver Style Scope Mounts: These mounts use a standard Weaver-style rail system to attach your firearm to the scope tube. The advantage of this type of mount is that it is very easy to adjust, making it a good choice for rifles with a lot of adjustment range within the normal housing space on your gun. The disadvantage is that these mounts have limited adjustments, so they may not work well with some high-end telescopes or binoculars that require more than basic adjustments in order to properly aim them. MIL-STD-1913 Style Scope Mounts: These mounts use an expandable MIL-STD 1913 rail system to attach your firearm to the scope tube. This system provides more adjustable positions than the Weaver style mount, but it does not come with as many built in features as other types ofscope mounts. Additionally, these mounts may not work as well with certain high end telescope or binoculars because they need specific adjustments in order to properly aim them using anMil-STD 1913 rail system alone
The first expandable mount for a camera was the Photo-EZ Mount, which came about in 1984. It allowed users to add an extra lens or sensor to their camera without having to remove the camera body.
