On December 12 of that year, an act of Congress designated the town site as the new home of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) located adjacent to present day Park Meadows Rancho Cucamonga in Los Angeles County, California. A school district was organized in 1906 and named after Mrs. Jensine Lassen who donated $10 000 towards building a school which would serve grades one through twelve within three blocks of her home on Hale Street near Main Street (now US-1). In 1912 construction began on what would become LDS Business College with classes starting September 1st and lasting five weeks per term until February 14th with no summer session; this program continued until 1978 when it merged into Southern Utah University/Salt Lake Valley Campus. Classes were held at various locations before finally settling at what is now LDS BusinessCollege property located off I-15 southbound just past Intermountain Highway where students from Weber State University parked their buses during their first semester back to college! In 1928 there were only ten families living in Lindon when Orson Heaps arrived with his Helium mine claiming over two million acres across central Kane County; however due to Heaps' generosity many more homes were built including three churches and four schools along Hale Street between Main and 10th Streets! With World War II looming upon America most people turned their attention towards helping out but few realized they had a responsibility to leave behind something better than themselves - businesses! At long last things changed when President Franklin D Roosevelt announced his plan for family allowances leading to an influx of refugees coming across the ocean seeking opportunity specifically during WWII - many farmers responded by turning their properties into farms or housing developments!
