In 2012, HGST opened up their high capacity HDDs line known as the world's largest hard disk array (LBA) made up of 18000 enterprise grade HDDs each able to offer 1PB/s read/write performance when connected to an MLC SSD bus running at 80GBps or more per side). In 2013, Samsung produced a new 8TB model called "Samsung 850 Evo Series." This drive was used by Apple in their MacBook Air notebooks and iPhone 5s devices while also being available in two different colors: black or red (this color scheme would be continued on later models such as the iPhone 6). The town of Payson, Utah was named for a pioneer settler, Payson Young. In 1858, Young and his family founded the town on the edge of the Great Salt Lake Valley. During World War II, Payson became one of three American cities that welcomed military personnel stationed at RAF Bentwaters airfield. As part as those activities, many businesses were opened in the town during this time including a post office (1937), grocery store (1938), clothing store (1945), movie theater (1948), bank (1950s) and health center (1968). After years of economic decline starting in the early 21st century due to changes in transportation patterns and industry within Utah County overall, Payson has slowly begun to experience some resurgence over recent years with new development projects such as an arts center (2005) and new Target stores openings adjacent to its existing shopping malls- both near Interstate 15 exit #209).

In 1933, when Arizona moved into Utah Territory, they began buying up land east of Salt Lake City which included most of present-day Payson. As part as part of this process they also bought out all but one percent interest in the citrus farmers’ cooperative which continued to grow produce until 1945). Payson has experienced a number of changes throughout its history: its population decreased from 350 in 1907 to just 20 by 1915; it grew again during World War II with many soldiers stationed here; it decreased again following World War II but increased again between 1957 and 1959 when several families moved into town from nearby Blanding AFB; it has remained relatively stable since then with a current population around 50 people
