In 1867, a company called Gadsden Manufacturing Company produced what is now considered the first true electric lightgun, the Gadsden Gun Lighthouse. This firearm consisted of a revolving lantern and an electric battery that could be used to power it. The popularity of electric lightguns led to their widespread use in military and law enforcement applications during the late 19th century and into the 20th century. Electric lightguns continue to be used today by both amateur and professional shooters in various fields.

Burlington, Vermont is a small town located in the heart of Vermont. The population was 8,792 as of the 2010 census. The community is home to two universities and several businesses. Burlington was founded on December 12, 1755, when General George Washington and his army arrived in Burlington from Boston. At that time, it was one of the most remote settlements in New England. English settlers began arriving in large numbers beginning in early 1760s and quickly populated most of what is now Vermont. In 1765, Burlington became the capital of Vermont after William Howe moved its government from Rutland to serve as the new state capital. In 1801, Burlington became part of Massachusetts until it was granted territory within Vermont by Congress in 1802. From then until 1861, when it became a separate state, Burlington served as its own congressional district. After passage of the Nebraska Act 20 years later (July 1st1974), Burlington became part of Lincoln County until it merged with Grand Forks County on April 15th2002 On July 1st2002- due to population growth- Burlington City annexed much surrounding land including Park Street to form a new city limits which encompass all but 2/3rds of present day downtown Burlington This annexation removed many blocks away from where people lived for over 350 years

Burlington, Vermont is a town in the U.S. state of Vermont. The population was 10,651 at the 2010 census and 12,898 at the 2016 census. Burlington is one of two towns in Vermont that are both considered "cities" by the Census Bureau. The other is Montpelier. The first settlement in what is now Burlington was made up of farmers who left Peterborough, Ontario for what they thought would be a more congenial climate and soil conditions. They didn't realize that they were moving to an area with high hills and plenty of trees until they got there! The Town of Burlington was incorporated on January 1, 1792 from sections of the Village of Northampton (now part of Worcester). It became an actual city on July 1, 1847 when it annexed part of the City of Montpelier. On October 15, 1875, Burlington acquired land east of its downtown from the Town of Rochester (now Watertown) to form a second ward which became known as East Burlington Township on December 6, 1875. On February 14th 1898, Burlington annexes still another section from Rochester - this time annexation bringing all but 2rd Ward into its fold creating West Burlington Township on February 25th 1898 !!!! Finally!! We are now 8 wards!!! Burlington has always been an important center for transportation due to its location near major roads and railroad lines as well as its close proximity to Lake Champlain and points north !!!!!!!!!!!!!
