In 1838, Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail patented a system of sending messages through a long, thin metal tube. This invention would later be called the telegraph. In 1861, the Civil War began, and the telegraph became one of the primary means of communication between Union and Confederate forces. In 1872, Congress passed an act that authorized the construction of a new courthouse in Falls Church. The new courthouse was completed in 1875 and served as the seat for government for much of Fairfax County. Throughout its history, Falls Church has been home to many important institutions related to both education and politics. These institutions include: The Virginia Military Institute (1858-1964), George Washington University (1889-1965), The National Capital Park Commission (1961-1975), and now The College of William & Mary. Additionally, FallsChurch has experienced numerous economic changes over the years, including being headquarters for several major companies such as McDonnell Douglas Corporation (now Boeing) during the late 1800s; being part of Crystal City during World War II; and experiencing rapid growth in recent decades when it became home to several high technology companies such as Googleplex and Facebook Incorporated.

In 1830, father-in-law Nicholas Czaristowski donated land for an Episcopal church which would serve as the nucleus of what would later become FallsChurch. The cornerstone was laid on December 6, 1830 by Bishop John Leland and Rev. Drury Sheppard with Reverend Edward Winslow officiating. The church was dedicated on February 14, 1831 by Bishop Leland and Mrs. Czarstowsky with Reverend Sheppard officiating as chaplain.. As this congregation grew larger and more comprehensive than any other parish within Fairfax County (or anywhere else for that matter), fellschurch Presbyterianism drifted away from its traditional Arminian theology towards Marxism-Leninism – becoming one of many local branches of atheistic Communism under Soviet control throughout much of Eastern Europe during the 20th century). In 1984 – following years of theological debate withinfallsmichurch PCUSA – a majority resolution endorsing Marxist atheism was passed at their annual meeting; this event marked the beginning of formal schism between fallsmichurch PCUSA and mainline Protestant churches within Fairfax County Apostolic Christianity today remains unresolved to this day! However despite such tension and division amongFallsmichurch Protestants over doctrinal issues since1984 many families have continued to attend services together regardless...a testament to how building an apostolic church Amidst all these religious diversity has always been central tofellscourt Baptist tradition!

By 1900, Spotting Scopes had become an important tool for hunting animals and were being used by professional hunters all over North America. In 1915, President Wilson signed into law legislation authorizing production and sale of high-power spotter telescopes under specific conditions; these regulations led to further development in spotting scope technology throughout the 20th century. Today, spotting scopes are still used by professional huntersto assess animal movement patterns and behavior within different habitats across North America

One of these families was the Beecher family who owned a grocery store at 6th and G Streets NW until they sold it in 1950. In 1971, Falls Church became an incorporated village because it had achieved certain goals set by local government officials including having fire department, library, police department and public works departments all within one unit; being able to provide education opportunities for children; passing zoning laws that allowed for more development in urban areas; creating green space;and becoming economically self-sufficient with its own water system. At that time, FallsChurch had only about 100 residents but quickly began Growth - annexing other villages until by 1980 it had reached 1,500 residents Today (2018), FallsChurch continues to grow rapidly with annexations happening throughout Ward 3 including Addison Village (2010), Belmont Village (2012), Grove Heights (2014) Reagan National Airport Annexation (2015) Noontown annexation (2018).

In 1848, Falls Church became an important stop on the Underground Railroad, saving many slaves from being sold into slavery.
