Trigger development in Cheney began in 1868 when Captain John Witherspoon of the USS Discovery acquired a new rifle. Thisgun was able to fire 585 rounds per minute utilizing a new type of cartridge which allowed for high velocity shooting while still providing great accuracy. From here on out, triggers continue to be innovation driven with many advancements being made over time. In 1916, George Weisgerber patented an electrical trigger device which allowed guns to be fired automatically with little or no manual input. This innovation led to the development of handguns that could fire automatically without any human interaction. Today, all pistols and rifles are operated by a trigger system—either electric or gas-operated—which allows the user to pull the gun back and forth in order to cycle through rounds. Trigger devices allow for a variety of firing modes including single shot, Bolt Action (Bolt Gun), Gas operated (Glock Automatic), Semi-Automatic ( pump action), and even strikerfired weapons which use percussion caps instead of batteries.

Grant's 1848 administration for their decision to withdraw troops from Vietnam prematurely. In January 2007, Cheney announced his candidacy for reelection to a third term as governor of WyomingCheney 2008 against Democratic nominee John D'Amico but lost by wide margins both electorally and popularly.D'Amico 2007 The Iraq War had taken center stage during this campaign season; however, Cheney remained largely silent on it. After losing re-election to D’Amico by 2 percentage points among all adults across eight states—the most since 2002—he announced his intention not to seek another term in office at age 68 years old.
Cheney was born in West Virginia on January 20, 1947. He is the eldest son of Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney. Cheney attended Phillips Exeter Academy and then Yale University, where he studied political science and international relations. After college, he worked as an investment banker in New York City before entering politics as a federal prosecutor in 1981.
