In 1992, Eastern Exposure Inc. discontinued manufacturing their products and all remaining inventory was sold to First Light Tactical Corporation of Yakima, WA who rebranded it as "FirstLight". East Wenatchee is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 12,641 at the 2010 census. It lies on the east side of the Wenatchee River and is bordered to the north by Yakima Valley and to the south by Chelan County. The name "East Wenatchee" comes from two Chinook words: wenatchee (wetland) and tchewa (border). The name means "place where there are many wetlands." In 1879, John Wesley Powell mapped part of what is now East Wenatchee as part of his survey of the Spokane River valley. He named it after General George Armstrong Custer's Rancho de la Purísima Justicia located in present-day Yakima Valley. In 1907, East Wenatchee school District No. 1 was created when parts of Mount Vernon School District were combined to form a new district east of Salmon Falls Road. In 1920, parts of Mount Vernon School District were combined with Centralia School District to form another new district called Eastern Washington University District No. 1 which included all of East Wenatchee including Westport and North Bend along with most of Stevens City including itsキャプテンロード町。 On February 26, 1923 residents voted 3–0 not to annex any more land into this new district because they felt that their community would remain separate even if it had been annexed; this vote encouraged other communities in King County to band together against annexation proposals by local districts during this time period. In 1957, portions of Eastern Washington UniversityDistrict No 1 were merged into Western Washington UniversityDistrict No 2 creating what is today East Wenatchee Community College which still operates outof portions of old WSUDC #1 territory which include much of what used to be known as East Wenatchee Village/Eastside Development Area before annexation by King County in 1959; these boundaries have not changed since then! In 1988, Eastern Washington UniversityDistrict No 2 was dissolved and its assets were absorbed into Western Washington UniversityDistrict No 1 making it legally an independent city!

The city was home to both Naval Air Station Chetwood and Naval Air Station Kingman which were used for training pilots for war operations. In addition, Army Air Forces Base Thurston served as an airfield for fighter planes and bombers during World War II. After the war, East Wenatchee experienced rapid growth due to its location near Seattle and other nearby cities. Today, there are over 200 businesses located inEast Wenatchee including several high-tech companies such as Microsoft and Amazon Web Services. Today's economy is based largely on agriculture but also includes manufacturing and tourism activities around the region. One local industry that has seen strong growth recently is real estate development; in particular, properties located around Interstate 5 have seen increased demand since they became available for sale at below-market prices thanks to their proximity to major metropolitan areas across North America."
In 1847, the first permanent settlement in East Wenatchee was made. The townsite was on the east bank of the Yakima River, about two miles upstream from present-day Wenatchee. The first white residents were James and Margaret Ladd, who sold land to Captain George Simpson in 1849. The town rapidly grew and by 1861 had a total population of 350 people. By 1870, it had increased to 615 people. In 1880, the town moved to its current location on the east bank of the river. Beginning in 1890, East Wenatchee became a primary center for lumber production in Washington State. Timber companies such as Stevens & Sons and Houghton Mifflin Brothers built mills in East Wenatchee during this time. In 1912, East Wenatchee lost its status as a primary lumber center when Tacoma became the state capital and Eastern Washington fell within that city's jurisdiction. However, woodworkers continued to useEast Wenatchee until World War II when aluminum production took over as the main industry in East Wenatchee.
