Issaquah, Washington is a city located in King County, Washington. The population of Issaquah was 44,814 at the 2010 census. It is the fourth-largest city in King County and the county seat of Snohomish County. Issaquah has a rich history dating back to when it was part of the Puget Sound region. In 1853, George Stephenson proposed building an railroad through what is now Issaquah and Seattle. The first train passed through Issaquah on September 15th, 1853. The area that makes up Issaquah today began to be developed as farmers used land east of Lake Union for growing crops and raising livestock. AOC had been operating as an importer of Zeiss products since 1978 when they purchased all of Zeiss' US operations including optical components and supplies.
