Moses Lake is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,715 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. The first settlers in Moses Lake were Native Americans who had been living there for centuries before that. In 1872, Hiram Clarke and his brother-in-law James Fife founded the town of Moses Lake on land they had purchased from the Yakama Nation. The townsite was named after Mount Olympus, which was located about to the west of Moses Lake. In 1907, Moses Lake became an incorporated city after two rounds of voting by its citizens. On December 2nd of that year, voters approved a charter amendment making it an "unincorporated community." The incorporation allowed for more civic activities and opportunities within the community such as refuse collection and street cleaning; these services still occur today under City ordinance. On July 17th 1998, Mayor Norma Jenkins announced that she would not seek re-election due to health reasons; effective September 1st 1998 she replaced Mayor Harry Doherty with Mayor Rick Kupferich. Prior to her election victory over incumbent Gene Bourgeois in November 1998, Jenkins served as Assistant Deputy mayor for Community Development (CID) duringMayor Doherty's four years in office. As CID Director she led strategy development for plans including beautification projects like new streetscaping throughout town and Parkside Park’s redevelopment into a cultural center/festival site; also working on downtown revitalization initiatives such as enhancements to infrastructure such as resurfacing sidewalks and lighting along Main Street/Parkside Park axis; increasing access to affordable housing options through renovation or purchase of properties surrounding Town Hall; developing partnerships with local businesses including newly opened restaurants inside Town Hall building.; creating marketing materials for upcoming events like annual Christmas party & carnival etc.; assisting with budgeting for programs which support public safety like fire protection & law enforcement etc.; helping organize event registrations thru website / phone thru special events coordinator program

Moses Lake, Washington is a small town located in the U.S. state of Washington. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census, up from 1,752 at the 2000 census. The village was named for Moses Lake and is located on 57 acres (23 ha) of water near Moses Lake Dam. It lies within Superior County and is part of the Skagit Valley Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in what is now Moses Lake were Creeks who had migrated from present-day Manitoba during the 18th century. In 1855, Henry Morton established a ferry service across the river that would later become known as Moses Lake Bridge. By 1870, there were four stores and 50 residents in the village which consisted of a schoolhouse, Methodist church and post office. A millinery shop opened in 1872 and by 1880 there were five stores one store per block with two other businesses participating including a blacksmithshop and harness shop A sawmill was built between 1886 and 1888 but it failed due to low demand for lumber from farmers outside of town In 1893, an armory was built (now called the John Ladd Museum) to protect travelers crossing over into British Columbia on horseback or dogsled during Bozeman Gold Rush days Additionally in 1893 local farmers started raising chickens as a source of fresh eggs which became an important economicstay for many years until eggs became more expensive .The first telephone line reached this area on December 5th 1915 when Waverly Telephone Company wired down Main Street in downtown Moses Lake
