Situated on a hill overlooking Puget Sound, Seatac began as a log settlement in 1851. It became an agricultural community after Railroads arrived in the area in the mid-19th century. In 1912, Sitrac annexed neighboring Poulsbo and formed Seatac City. In 1916, Sitrac incorporated as a city and repealed its incorporation into King County.

In 1875, a post office was established at Seatac and it remained in operation until 1959. The town started as a small farming community with only 30 residents in 1900. By 1920, most of the original settlers had died or moved away and the community consisted of just five homes and a few hundred workers farms products such as hay and potatoes. In 1934, Seatac became an incorporated town with a population of 150 people. One of its early successes was providing playground equipment for local children as part of a citywide program called Play for Life which helped to raise money for local charities. As concern about air pollution mounted during World War II, more businesses began moving into Seatac and by 1945 there were over 100 residents working in various industries including shipbuilding, aircraft manufacturing and meatpacking plants. During World War II many jobs were lost due to Japanese internment but after the war Sitrac experienced growth with new housing developments being built on land that had been owned by Boeing until 1947 when it merged with Seattle's Aerospace Industries Incorporated (AIST). In 1955 seatcitizen Elmer Fenton organized what would become known as Powder River Valley Rally which brought together truck drivers from all over Northwest America to compete in stock car races at Soapstone Raceway near Missoula Montana

Seatac was a town in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. It is now a ghost town located on the eastern edge of the city of Seattle. The community was founded in 1871 by George Seaton and his brother-in-law David Hill. Situated on the Puget Sound between Seattle and Tacoma, its heyday came during the early years of the 20th century when it boasted a population of up to 1,500 people. However, by 1907 Seatac had shrunk to fewer than 100 residents. In 1951 it was annexed into Seattle; however, its ZIP code remains unchanged (98001). The first settler at Seatac was George Seaton who arrived in 1871 with his brother-in-law David Hill from England. George's wife Margaret came over with them and they started a farm there. Over time many other settlers followed and by 1903 there were around 150 people living in Seatac. By 1911 census only 10 residents remained and by 1921 all but two of those had left for more spacious surroundings withinSeattle. Seatac experienced some success during its early years as an agricultural center due to its fertile soils and good water supply availability; however this prosperity ended after World War I when vegetables became more popular as a foodstuff in North America than meat or dairy products. With few new businesses opening up following the war, the population slowly decreased until all but one inhabitant remained by 1930s census estimate when it had fallen below 50 people again before disappearing completely from records thereafter . Despite this lack of recent history or activity, locals continue to reminisce about their homecoming each year on July 4th when events such as picnics and fireworks are scheduled throughout downtownSeattle
The first settlers in what is now Seatac, Washington arrived in 1792. They were part of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, which was exploring the Northwest. The first permanent settler in what is now Seatac was James Cowles. He built a cabin on the banks of the Susquehanna River.
